The look on Barret's face is too much for him. It's angry, of course. He just threatened to kill his– now Barret's– little girl, and take the rest of the world with them. Barret;s face is sad too, because Dyne's changed so much and Barret doesn't know him anymore, but still misses him. Barret wants his friend back.
And it's understanding, which is what Dyne really can't take. He put that look there. His best friend understands killing, because of him. Barret swore to take revenge on the ShinRa for his sake, but he wishes Barret had just gone on with his life and left blood and murder behind.
There's too much guilt for him to live with; too much is weighing on his soul. But if he lets go of everything, he'll be light enough to fly. So he does.
