Gaara is standing in the middle of a desert and he is content with this. After all this was his element. When he was here he was in control of everything.
Suddenly something popped out of the sand creating a cloud of sand as it did so. This may have startled him but he was very good at hiding his emotions so you wouldn't have been able to tell. After all he was the Kazekage and as the Kazekage he couldn't show any emotion or else people wouldn't respect him.
As the sand started to settle he noticed that something was struggling in the sand and because he was intrigued by this and wanted to know what it was he merely had the sand settle into a small pile right next to him. What he found struggling in the sand may have been a little disturbing to some but he actually found it rather funny.
So funny in fact that he started to quietly laugh to himself.
What he was laughing at turned to glare at him and said sharply, "Gaara stop laughing and get your older sister out of here!"
Gaara simply looked at his sister who was stuck in the sand with only her head sticking out, and shrugged. He then thought for a moment, on one hand if he got her out she would only bug him about getting out of the desert and make him go back home, but on the other hand if he didn't get her out she would only bug him until he did get here out.
Because Gaara had become very good at tuning out one voice he chose the latter option.
But, just as he had made his decision another unseen object popped up out of the ground also raising a cloud of sand with it. Gaara just decided to wait for the sand to settle this time. He wasn't surprised to see that it was Kankuro's head that had popped up this time. Unfortunately as soon as Kankuro saw Gaara he too was also yelling for Gaara to get him out of the sand.
Now even though Gaara was good at tuning out one voice he was not yet a master at tuning out two people who were yelling at the same time. Then, just as he was starting to be able to tune out both of his siblings almost all of the people of Suna's heads starting popping out of the ground following Kankuro and Temari's example by yelling at Gaara.
Finally when he could take it no longer Gaara created a giant mallet out of sand and started hitting everyone on the head the trick was that everyone was also able to duck their heads under the sand. After modifying his swinging style Gaara found that he could hit everyone's head with ease.
He took much pleasure in hitting Temari over and over again.
After a while Gaara became tired and just fell down on the sand laughing because this was the first time in his life that he had so much fun.
