Timon and Pumba Show Simba the Internet
"I tell ya Simba you're gonna love this." Timon and Pumba led Simba to the computer that had been installed in the new Pride Rock Library. Why was there a library in the middle of the jungle that the animals could use? Progress.
Timon sat Simba down and started up the computer for him. Simba chuckled slightly at his long time friends enthusiasm.
"This is very nice Timon, but how does it help anyone?"
Pumba being the voice of logic seem to ask what any reasonable person would have asked.
"Simba's right Timon. While a computer can be a very helpful learning device how does it help a group of herbivore and some carnivorous animals living in the jungle?"
Timon turned around and with his car salesman smile he typed on a few keys and brought up a website selling, 'How I Published this E-book in 7 Days'.
"With This! The way I see it, everyone in Pride Rock has a story to share. What better way to share that story than with a book! This book shows you how to get your book published in 7 days! Why as soon as we get some of the animals selling books this place will be gold mine for tourist!"
Pumba was doubtful.
" I don't know Timon, some would argue that a blog, vlog or podcast is a more effective means of sharing ones story at a more personal level. I also notice that the author of this amazing book is also the author of this fanfiction. You don't think that is a conflict of interest? "
Timon looked shocked as he explained that he had not been bribed by the author of this fanficton with a pile of juicy bugs to tell people about his book.
"Pumba do you really think I would use my position as a character of this story to shamelessly plug How I Published this E-book in 7 Days? Do you think me capable of using the popularity of the upcoming live action movie to exploit the audience like that?"
Simba and Pumba both said in unison, while glaring at the author of this fanfiction.
"YES!"
Simba chuckled, no matter how many years went by Timon and Pumba would always be the same.
" Timon, the library is a good thing. We need to make sure we pass down our traditions and history to the next generation. But lets not get ahead of ourselves ok?"
The End
