Lucy's POV
I stared at him, and he stared back. We broke our gaze and I felt my cheeks burn. We both secretly knew our love for the other, but never would we dare tell anyone let alone admit it, and never would we dare confess it. The bell rang for the end of school and we all packed our books and filed out the door. I picked up my books and headed towards the door when someone ran past me from behind, bumping me to the ground and scattering my books everywhere. I sighed and got on my knees to pick them up when I saw another pair of hands picking up the remainder of my books which were sprawled all over the floor. I looked up and saw him holding his and my books in one hand and holding his other hand outstretched towards me. I blushed furiously as I took his hand and he helped me to my feet. "Here," he said with a kind smile as he handed me my books. "T-thanks..." I stuttered and stared down at my feet to hide my blushing face. "You're welcome! See ya round!" he called out behind him as I looked up and saw him run to catch up with his friends. "See ya..." I called out quietly back to him.

I washed my face quickly and dried it with a towel. I walked to my room, put my books on my desk and sighed as I flopped down onto my bed. What a day it had been. Fate... something no-one could control... Fate, caused me to collide with him again...

I started to regularly hand out with him; before school, snack, lunch and even after school. Before I knew it, we were really close. It was the end of the day, and I was in the locker bay, packing my books into my locker and bag, when I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder. I turned around and there he was, standing there with a warm smile on his face. I quickly pushed my bag into my locker and locked it before I turned to him. "Come with me," he said as he took my hand and led me to the school's garden. "Look," he said as he gently took both my hands and sat down with me on a bench. "I've wanted to tell you this for a while but, I just haven't had the guts to. And... well... Just let me show you." And with that, he pulled me close, leaned in, and planted a soft kiss on my lips. At first I was stunned but smiled after as he took me in for a hug. I mumbled into his warm chest, "I love you too." "Stay with me forever, okay?" he asked me as he continued to hold me close. "Of course."
