The battle had ended but not all was cheery joy. There were some bitterness in their victory as well. There were countless overjoyed witches, wizards, the public- there seemed to be light in their eyes once they realized the man that was their nightmare was finally gone- although the public didn't know much, they felt it in the air. However, those that were mourning, stood in front of the ones whom they had once knew.

The cold wind cut through a golden boy's cheek but he stood unmoving.

Another male, also golden but with shorter hair, stood alongside with his brother. Both faces were downcast as they looked at the grey rock stuck in the dirt.

The casualties were huge. Multiple witches and wizards alike sacrificed their lives and struggled against the most feared wizard of the century. There was mourning, then there was reconciliation, and then finally, acceptance. But that wasn't all the case.

"They died for a noble cause. . .like hell. No one deserves to die except those at fault," the boy with long golden hair bitterly spat out.

"Brother. . ." the second with the short golden hair bit his lip. Deaths were never quite accepted as easily in their cases- they witnessed too much of it to be comfortable with.

However, this was a preventable death but-

He dug his fingers into his palm. Once again, they let someone's life slip through their fingers. In the end, even if they were 'saviors', they were always reminded of their feebleness in the end- they weren't some sort of god. . .they were just. . .weak humans that couldn't save a little girl's life.

The older brother slightly turned his head to the side and saw his brother's shoulders shaking. He turned away and looked down at the tombstone of their old teacher.

Severus Snape

The boy tilt his head back and let his hair be blown across his face.

He was ashamed to say, but even he had believed the teacher to be of some sort of evil intent. He hadn't been able to see behind the man's mask and he was ashamed of that. Even though he obviously wasn't the only one who thought the professor had evil intents, he was still ashamed.

If only they noticed in time. . .

He closed and eyes and was only mildly surprised to feel wetness on his cheeks.

"Brother, let's go."

"Yea. . .goodbye. . .Professor Snape. . ."

The hollowness in their chests couldn't be filled and the two brothers left the cemetery still feeling as bad as they came in.

Guess like they were coming back tomorrow too.

Sorry, the next chapter of Truth's Discount will probably take a while to do since I have a lot of stuff I still have to finish up Orz

This is not really spoilers for what I have planned but let's treat this as an AU for Truth's Discount shall we? ^^;

RIP Alan Rickman, one of the greatest actors that lived.

I personally really didn't like Snape in the beginning and felt very badly when he died in the book. I honestly didn't dislike him that bad. So this is my apology to Snape as well.
