Black….

Blackness everywhere… The only thing that exists is the darkness… Darkness and pain… Endless pain…

"Subject 225 is ready."

"Are you sure? Isn't it too early?"

"We don't have any other choice, all of our defenses have fallen!"

"We have to send her out."

"What if she betrays us?"

"She won't. We're all she remembers. All she knows."

I open my eyes, only to be blinded by the bright white light above me. I sit up on the chair and see three people in white labs coats surrounding me.

"Are you ready?" the man to my right said. Ready for what? What are they talking about? "We need you to defend this outpost against the enemy." I have no choice but to accept. I was lead out the door of the lab I was in, but overheard the conversation that I had left behind.

"Her abilities aren't evolved. I'm not even sure they're able for her to use yet."

"Sir, if we send her out there, she'll die and we'll lose the subject."

"Just think of this a a field test. Maybe the extreme stress will have an effect. Besides, we still have all the files on the perfected serum."

Serum? What happened to me? What did they do? Who is the enemy? There's a weapon cache by what I would guess is the door to the outside. Outside? I don't remember what the outside looks like. The only thing I know is that lab.

I was handed a gun from the woman leading me out. "Good luck," she said coldly. Good luck? What's that supposed to mean? The door to the outside opened and I ran outside and ran into the battle towards the enemy, almost as if it was instinct. Running towards the battle, if just feels normal. Like, it's what i'm supposed to do. I ran until I spotted someone deep in the woods. It was a man, dressed in blue. I watched him for about 30 seconds, watching his movements, fighting style, his weakness. But then the man disappeared. Leaving only a trail of blue behind.

"What the-," I whispered. Suddenly, I was blown off my feet and thrown two feet in front of me.

"Did you really think I didn't notice you watching me?" he said.

"Actually I didn't think you noticed," I said as I brought the gun up and pulled the trigger, but the man disappeared again. "Damn it!" I tried standing up but I noticed my splitting headache. Then, I realized that I wasn't in the same part of the forest as before. The man in blue was still there, but with him was an archer.

"I found her about a mile ahead, but she doesn't seem like a threat," He said.

"How did you get here? Are you hydra?" the archer asked, walking towards me.

"No! Stay away from me!" I yelled.

"I have to take you back to base for questioning," he said.

"Please stay AWAY!" I screamed as fire blazed all around me.

"There's an enhanced in the field," He said into his radio.

"What? No, please!" I yelled. "You have to help me!"

"Sorry kid. But, if you won't come willingly, then i'm just going to have to make you," the archer said, bring his bow up.

"No!"

"Clint-" the man in blue said.

I screamed as the archer shot me in the arm with an arrow. I tried to get up and fight back, but my body wouldn't respond. I started to feel tired, the man in blue picked me up and carried me out of the forest as I blacked out.

Black… Blackness everywhere… The darkness… Darkness and… Warmth?
