When he was younger he'd been told that one day he'd find that one special person, that one person who he was meant to protect and cherish forever.
He'd always laughed at these stories secretly, thinking that this would never be the case. With his powers there was no way he would ever be able to protect anyone. No, the opposite was true, anyone who got close to him would be in danger from the being that lurked under his skin. His other half was jealous, vindictive, and very possessive of him.
No, he'd not believed he would ever fall in love, hadn't even thought it was possible. Emotions were unnecessary and would interfere with the internal war he waged on a constant basis.
Then the unthinkable had happened. One day during one of his operations to stop a certain thief, his other half had taken control and rescued a school mate, a girl he knew. Why Krad kissed her he would never know, all he knew was that while he hadn't been the one to kiss her somehow his heart had fallen for the long haired girl during that brief contact of lips.
He still couldn't believe it was true, that this was real. It was like some strange fairy tale. Who would believe him if he told anyone? Who would believe that Hiwatari Satoshi had fallen for anyone let alone someone like her. They had nothing in common and hardly ever talked to each other. This entire situation was absurd yet there was no denying the truth. He had found his sacred maiden, the one person he would give anything to protect, the girl who was more precious to him than his own life.
Her name? Harada Risa.
