Prologue
Domino City: A city where some of the greatest Duelists live. Many kids hope to one day battle the three Duel Kings; Yugi Moto, Seto Kaiba and Joey Wheeler. However one thing stands in their way: The Battle Kingdom, a giant arena where Duelists duel to gain the opportunity to battle the Duel Kings. This story tells the tale of three friends, hoping to one day replace the Duel Kings…
Yugi looked up from his throne. He had to sit at the throne for at least two hours a day to duel any challengers. A knock on the door awakened Yugi from his near sleep. "Enter." He said. The door opened and a figure entered the room. He was wearing long pants and a hoodie, his facial features hidden. He had a Duel Disc on his left arm.
"Duel." He said emotionless. Yugi got up, slipping on his Duel Disc.
"May I know your name challenger?" Yugi asked the mystery man. He shook his head and activated his Duel Disc. "As you wish," Yugi said, activating his own Duel Disc. "You can have the first move." he said to the hooded figure. The hooded figure nodded.
"I summon Dark Blade in attack mode." The hooded figure said. Yugi drew his card.
'Pot of Greed…' thought Yugi. 'Could be useful' "I now summon the Giant Soldier of Stone in defence mode!" Yugi heard the hooded man snicker.
"Sorry but you lose," he said. Yugi looked at his opponent.
"What do you mean?" Yugi asked. The hooded man drew another card.
"I mean what I said. First, I'll summon Red Eyes Black Chick. I then activate his effect and sacrifice Black chick to summon Red Eyes Black Dragon!" the hooded figure said. He then laughed. "And now I will special summon Red Eyes Black Darkness Dragon in attack mode! And I get to add another 600 attack points to my creature for having two dragons in my graveyard, bring my Darkness Dragon to 3000 attack." Yugi started to panic as the hooded man activated his Pot of Greed.
"Now I activate Mystic Plasma Zone to increase Dark Blade's and Darkness Dragon's attack by 500 Points! I'll now use Card Destruction, to destroy both our hands and send them to the graveyard. And now because Luster Dragon and Luster Dragon 2 are in the graveyard, Darkness Dragon gets another 600 boost. Now its time I finished this. Dark Blade, destroy the Giant Soldier of Stone." Dark Blade moved swiftly, slicing the Soldier of Stone up.
"Now Darkness Dragon, attack his life points directly!" the hooded man said. The Red Eyes Darkness Dragon blasted Yugi, sending him flying across the room. He slammed into the wall and groaned. The hooded figure walked over to Yugi and laughed. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring. He lifted the jewel up and Yugi started to glow red. His body then disappeared, absorbed into the ring. The hooded figure laughed as he walked off, leaving the throne abandoned.
