Will You Remember Me?
Pairing: Stella/Noctis (friendship?)
Warnings/Spoilers: Semi AU, Character Death
Author Note: Semi inspired by a quote from Blood +, I believe it was around episode 30. Semi AU because the cutscene never happened.
Disclaimer: I don't own Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Summary: As she lays dying in his arms she asks a simple question if he will remember her.

He knows that she is dying.

He can feel her blood staining his clothing and he knows that she will die in a matter of seconds. Minutes at the most.

A small part of him wonders why is showing this woman compassion. Holding the woman in his arms and pretending that he actually cares for her.

Despite the fact that she is the enemy and he is one who killed her. He will admit that she was a skilled warrior.

One of the few who is able to hold their own in battle against him. A part of him wonders if she had given up sometime during the fight.
Weary of war and battle.

He can tell that she is a kind person. Even now he can see that in her violet blue eyes that shone with pain. Eyes of a person dying.

"Why are you showing me compassion?" she questions weakly into his garnet eyes. Even now he still doesn't know the answer.
They weren't friends.

In fact the first time he saw Stella Fleuret was on the battlefield a couple of months ago. He honestly has to admit he was surprise to see a female on the battlefield.

Especially one that is like himself.

Another person who can see the light of Etro. Despite the fact they were enemies who couldn't help but to feel less alone when he is with her. That he isn't the only one who can see the Light of Etro, but he is quickly reminded that she is his enemy.

"I don't know," he replies truthfully. He can slightly notices her blood stained lips quirking into a soft almost happy smile. He silently wonders if she understands. All the words he couldn't say to her.

"Can I ask a favor from you," she questions weakly He frowns lightly but didn't necessary say anything. At his silence she decides to continue. "Will you remember me?"

"Remember you?" he questions.

She nods, "I want to remain in someone's memory."

He frowns lightly in confusion. History will remember her as one of the greatest generals in Tenebrae History. But he supposes that isn't quite what Stella meant.

Maybe she just wants to remain in someones memory as a woman and not as a general or a soldier.

"I'll remember you," he replies truthfully and he knows that he will keep his promise to her. Regardless if she had ask him too.
She smiles at him in gratitude, "Thank you."

He nods in reply and watches as the female general dies and gently lay her down on the pavement ground. She knows that Tenebrean soilders will find her soon and give their general a burial.

"Goodbye Stella, you'll always remain in my memories," he utters softly and for a moment he thought he could hear soft happy laughter in
the wind.
