Part 1

Prologue to (story is untitled so far. Gimme a few to think it up.)

AN: This is the beginning of Doxyk's story. It is purely OC until the very end, but it explains how Kody became Doxyk, and his last few days as a somebody. It's just a prologue, so please read it. It has yaoi in it, but no lemons or limes or whatever. If you don't like yaoi then don't bother reading it.

"Damn it, Kody! When are you going to stand up for yourself! They wouldn't pick on you if you fought back!"

The taller, muscular teen was bandaging his not as tall or muscular friend. He had gotten beat up by the jerks from Guardian Tech after he transferred to Black Magic Academy.

"I can't believe your friends would turn on you just because you transferred."

"It's okay Drew, They just want me to go back to GT. They don't mean anything by it."

"It doesn't matter what they want, they should be happy for you, and support you no matter what decision you make!"

They sat in silence for a while, Drew bandaging Kody's wounds, Kody being bandaged. Drew couldn't help but notice all of the bruises that riddled the boys slightly toned frame. He could see the hurt in Kody's emerald eyes, and how his best friend was truly bothered by his friends turning on him and lashing out against him.

Kody saw the concern in Drew's chocolate brown eyes. "Keep your pity. Eventually they WILL stop."

"How do you know that?"

"I just do."

"What if they don't?"

"That's my problem. Don't worry about it."

"I'm your best friend, and you tell me not to worry about you?"

"It really doesn't hurt that bad." LIE "I can take them." LIE "I don't need you protecting me all the time." MEGA LIE

"I'm a guardian Kody, its what I do, now quit being so stubborn and let me fix you up." Drew was an elite from Guardian Tech. He was captain of the soccer team and weightlifting teams, and possibly a genius at his trade. He knew first aid, basic White Magic such as cure and cura, and he was incredible at whatever he did. His tall build and incredibly muscular frame made him an opponent not to be reckoned with, and he had a heart of gold.

Kody, however, had given up being a guardian when he discovered was able he was able to learn Black Magic. He was never meant to be a guardian anyway; he was not very coordinated, and his White Magic skills were sub par. He also was terrible with a shield, the weapon of choice for the guardians. He had met Drew at GT, and after countless failures, Drew had taken it upon himself to look after him.

Kody was tired of being looked after though. He felt like a burden, and couldn't take it anymore.

"Look Drew, don't take this personally, but leave me alone. I'm NOT some pity project you to take up because you have nothing better to do!"

"Kody, what's wro-"

"I said leave me alone!" and with that Kody ran off, not caring what direction he was headed.

"Wait Kody!"

Kody didn't stop for him, he just kept running, faster and faster. He was tired of being a burden to Drew. Tired of making him worry. Tired of the unrequited feelings he had for him. All he could think about was running, but he knew he was far away from Drew, and he stopped his cross country sprint. Catching his breath, he finally stopped to see where he was, and he realized what kind of trouble he had gotten himself into. He was standing in front of the GT dorms, he was exhausted, and he saw that his old friends were headed over to greet him, shields in hand, hatred in their eyes...
