After the furious battle against the Metarex in space, the heroes returned to their lives, however they weren't exactly the same. Cosmo sacrificed herself to save the galaxy, leaving Tails devastated. Chris left to go back to earth with the help of his nemesis eggman. Sonic's P.O.V
I don't know what to tell her, I mean I am the coolest person practically on this planet. So why am I afraid to just tell her I love her? I mean, when I gave her that rose, I could have said I love you, but no. It came out that I would never leave her. That's it! I'm going to tell her. As soon as possible. So now I'm running, running to see her. In almost a flash I'm there in front of her house, standing on her porch. This is it. I raise my hand to knock...
Normal P.O.V
As soon as Sonic knocked, there was footsteps heard, then the door opened revealing none other than Amy rose.
"SONIC!!" Amy literally jumped on the sapphire hedgehog.
"Hey... Amy...I...know your gasp happy...but not so...tight!" Sonic just about managed to say.
"OH! I'm sorry!" Amy immediately let go. "It's just I haven't seen you in a long time and well...I missed you..." Amy looked at her shoes until she felt a hand raise her chin to look up at her hero.
"I missed you too." Before Amy had time to reply Sonic kept talking. "Actually I came here to tell you something very important." Sonic still kept his hand on her chin.
"What about?" Amy was very quiet.
"About us Amy." He took a moment to look at Amy's puzzled face. Then carried on. "During our fight with the Metarex do you remember when Dark Oak had his final transformation?" Amy nodded. "Well we were, well hugging really, and when we were I felt so, well like I could hold you in my arms forever...so what I'm trying to say is WHOA!" Amy had already pulled him into a warm embrace. Sonic rubbed her back as he lowered his head towards her ear.
"I love you Amy rose." He whispered. Amy kept her head buried in his chest, soon Sonic could fell tears from her eyes onto his chest. He raised her head again to look at him. Tears were still falling from her jade green eyes. Sonic wiped them away, then lowered his head again, except this time he was heading for her face. Then he did the one thing he'd been waiting to do for a long time. The one thing Amy had been waiting him to do for a long time.
He kissed her.
