Yet another idea that hit me and wouldn't let me be. I got the idea while doing my English homework with metal fusion playing in the back ground. I happened to glance up and notice it was Kenta's battle with Rejji in battle bladers and I decided to do a story.

Ryuga watched as the poor, doomed green haired boy battled Rejji. Ryuga had seen the boy before on the WBBA news. The boy was supposed to be quite powerfull for his age and that was probaly the only reason he had lasted this long. Even as he watched the boy get beat up, Ryuga felt no pity.

Actually to say he had no pity wouldn't be true. L-Drago had no pity for the boy but the small sliver of humanity left in Ryuga felt for the poor boy. But instead of helping he did the same thing he had done to Yu. He walked away.

The next time Ryuga met Kenta, the boy was already twelve. He jumped out and challenged Ryuga. Ryuga acted like he couldn't remember Kenta but in truth he never forgot. Ryuga never took the boy's challnge seriously but then why did he let that boy follow him. Deep down he wanted the boy to prove him wrong.

Even when Kenta fell in that desert, Ryuga still didn't leave. He waited in the rain until Kenta woke up.

Kenta was not perfect but he always tried his best and go back up when he fell.

Ryuga silently walked into the town not bothering to see if Kenta was following him. In fact he didn't need to. He knew the sound of Kenta's footsteps. Ryuga didn't often come to towns but this one was quite close to where they were heading and Kenta wasn't yet accostomed to fending for himself. Ruuga left Kenta to get food while he wondered the streets.

He passed this shop for beyblades and bladers. On simple boredom and slight impluse, Ryuga walked into the modest shop. Simple beys still in their packages lined the walls. Bey parts were layef out on a tabletop but he saw nothing of intrest among them. He shifted his eyes to the other wall. It had several diffrent kinds of fingerless gloves lining it's shelfs. Ryuga thought back to the burns on Kenta little hands. Most hardcore bladers wore fingerless gloves to prevent those kinds of burns but Kenta had none. Ryuga had no clue were the desision came from but Ryuga grabbed a simple pair of brown gloves about Kenta's size and handed them to the lady at the counter to pay for them.

Later when they were sitting in front of a large comfy fire Ryuga pulled out the gloves and wordlessly handed them to the smaller boy.

" R-Ryuga?"

" They're for the burns on your hands. Now you won't get them."

Kenta smiled and slipped the gloves over his small, soft hands. Then he reached out and did something Ryuga wasn't expecting. He hugged the white haired boy.

"Thank you, Ryuga," Kenta voice was full of happyness.

Ryuga smiled a real smile for the first time and gently hugged the boy to him.

This did not end like I thought it would be but it was cute. Hope you enjoyed. Please review. Hugs for all!
