Summary: An alternate ending to Charlie Bone and the Shadow. Character deaths involved.
A/N: Okay, I know that this isn't great, but hey, it's the best I could come up with as I was sitting in the car on Black Friday waiting for my parents to come out of the store. I also know that this chapter is short but I PROMISE that the next chapter will be a little bit longer.

He's not going to let me get away with it, he thought as the waves closed over his head. But at least I got one thing right. I wish I could tell everybody goodbye, Charlie thought as he sank to the bottom of the sea. His thoughts were scattered as he fought to remain conscious for a few minutes. A dim part of his mind realized that the water was rather cold. He tried to swim feebly against the unrelenting current that was holding him down. I guess it's useless to fight against it. I'm going to go one way or another and this seems like a good way to go. He released the breath he was holding and watched the silvery bubbles float their way to the surface. He thought of everyone he knew and loved as the sweet blackness of everlasting sleep overcame him.
