Look into my light
-
When I look
I can see
All you can't
All that's me
There's no we
There's no us
And all uses he finds in you
For his dark eyes
All the hope and passion
For love for life
In your pair of eyes
That is him
That is me
Not me
I scream I kick
Please be me
Lost in this room
-
Like a dead butterfly
-
I want to need
Must leave my cocoon
Get out and fly
By myself
But maybe
I see that resentment
Still brooding in hell
Brooding in me
-
So look into my light
-
Help me out
Let me in
I want to be under and in your skin
Free my touch
Free our love
Get a ladder
Reach to the sky!
Change my life
Change this broken thing
Some shattered bulb
I leave my skin
For a new light
To shine and to breathe
Your breath at any Height
Turn away from him
-
Please for once
Just look at me
In this new light
-so bright-
I can breath.
"Do you see that cocoon? Waiting deep inside is a dying butterfly. Sometime tomorrow it will die and stay dead if can't leave its cocoon. Now, I could help it, you know, take out my knife and cut a hole for it to crawl though. But then Its wings wouldn't be strong enough to fly. It would die slowly in the sun. So I'm left with a decision. Should I let it die, never seeing and never missing the light of day? Or take away what it needs, what it has waited for all this time?...I suppose the real question is whether or not The butterfly would spend eternity after death missing its sun…"
