Kelly stared in shock at his parents. What is going on here? he wondered. Had he really just caught them having sex in his house? They wouldn't do that to him…would they? Then again, this was Benny.
"We're back together," Benny announced. What? Did he just say…? he wondered. He had confirmed it: they had just had sex. In his house and from what he could see, in his bed. Just what the hell was wrong with them!?
"No," he said.
"Kelly, don't blow this out of proportion," Jennifer stated.
"No! Just what the hell is wrong with you?! You do not get to do this to me! Not again!" he shouted. "You put me through hell in high school-both of you! When you divorced, you both agreed that it was for the best and that you two together was a bad idea! And now you just think you can pick up and start over?" he asked.
"I'm not that guy anymore, Kelly. I won't hurt your mother," Benny assured.
"Whatever, I'm out of here," Kelly said, grabbing his keys and headed out the door. Damn it! What the hell are they thinking? he fumed. He couldn't believe this was happening! Had they really forgotten how bad they made things for him? Or were they just not caring? Knowing Benny, he probably didn't care, but his mother…she had never done this to him before and he couldn't believe that she was doing it now. He just-he had to get away…
