"Finn!" Rachel screamed through the house as she ran down the stairs, trying to avoid the toys that lingered all the way down.
"Yeah, baby?" Finn answered as saw her enter the family room.
"What is Sophie wearing?" She asked raising her eyebrows.
"What do you mean, 'what is she wearing?'?" Finn replied as her picked up Sophie, "It's her football headband."
"I see that, but why is she wearing it?"
"Well we are going to a party to watch the football game, so I obviously thought it was a no brainer for the occasion." He says as if he's confused as to why she doesn't understand.
"But Finn-"
"Look how cute she is Rach," he says kissing Sophie's cheek, "You have to admit that she looks pretty darn cute."
"Well of course she looks cute, but that wasn't part of her outfit."
"Well it should be." He says as he hands Sophie off to Rachel and grabs his keys. "Just wait until we get to the part and you see how many people agree with me."
"We'll see about that." Rachel says as she follows Finn out the door.
After the game is finished and the Buckeyes have another win under their belt, Finn goes outside to find Rachel and Sophie playing in the backyard of their neighbor's house.
"Hey babe." He says greeting Rachel as he puts and arm around her shoulder and feel her reciprocate by putting her own around his back.
"Hi honey. Soph's found a new little friend." Rachel says pointing to Sophie and a little boy rolling a football in the grass.
"No way! She's playing with a football." He says, looking stunned. "This is the greatest day of my life!"
"You are so weird." Rachel says giggling at him.
"Sophie girl, come here!" Sophie turns, noticing Finn, and waddles her little legs to him.
"Dada!" She says as she leaps into his awaiting arms.
He kisses her cheek and their neighbor, John, walks over and says, "I think she better wear that headband more often. It's a good luck charm for are buckeyes."
Finn smiles the biggest smile he can and swings his hip into Rachel's. He leans over and whispers in her ear, "Told you, baby!"
She smiles back at him and sticks her tongue out.
Finn holds Sophie in the air. "Sophie, what's your favorite sport?"
She smiles and says, "Fooball"
"That's my girl!" Finn says, hugging her close and giving her little kisses on her cheeks.
"Oh no!" Rachel mutters, but can't help smiling at her adorable little girl. She has to admit, the headband is pretty cute.
