'Just do it, Edward. It'll all be okay and you might even have fun if you lighten up a little,' Alice berated me from downstairs.
I couldn't stand it if I hurt her. I trusted my family with her, but I would never trust myself. What if I hurt her? What if I lost control?
"Daddy," she spoke. At the time, I thought it was unnecessary. Renesmee knew I could hear her thoughts, and mostly she liked to show us what she wanted. She was a very visual little girl.
I assumed she spoke for me, but when Bella poked her head around the corner to figure out what was wrong, I finally caught on. Ness was recruiting the one person she knew I could never resist. Her mother.
"What's wrong?" Bella asked as she picked her daughter up easily into her arms. I basked in the beauty of them together for a moment. I could see the love of my life reflected in our daughter's face, her eyes.
I felt the doom settle as Renesmee picked up her hand and put it to Bella's cheek. I saw the thoughts flow from her fingertips into blackness: the enigma that is Bella's mind.
A scowl set on my wife's features but then her expression changed. She looked at me, heartbroken. It tore at my heart.
"Please, Edward? Can we please get a kitten?"
Alice squealed audibly below, and Bella grinned widely, her face glowing.
I couldn't believe the entire house of vampires wanted another beating heart in the house. If it were any other vampires, control wouldn't be a problem. Only in this house would a kitten pose a temptation. Oh, irony.

This is short, I'm sorry. The entire story will be fluffy. If you can't handle it, I'm sorry. This is for relief for an angsty story I'm working on. Review!
