When Raven woke up in Titans Tower this morning her this year would be different. There were many reasons for that assumption.
A) Her father was gone and not coming back so her birthday wouldn't herald doom for the world she had sworn to protect.
B) The Brotherhood of Evil was gone thanks to a surprisingly intelligent rescue from Beast Boy.
C) Never mind that was essentially it.
All this raced through her head as she prepared herself a good cup of herbal tea, she might even have a peaceful birthday this year until-
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAVEN!"
"BOOYAH IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY GIRL!"
"I AM SO GLAD IT IS ONCE AGAIN THE DAY OF YOUR BIRTH, IT IS GLORIOUS!"
"Happy Birthday Raven…Sorry about the noise."

As she turned around she saw her team-no her family standing around her.
There was Cyborg the older brother who would do anything to protect her but annoyed the hell out of her.
There was Robin who was their leader but knew how to hang loose however some times, rarely fine almost never but still he is her brother.
Starfire her best friend, the girl she could do anything with, Raven would show Starfire the ropes of the world and enjoy girly things with (not that she would ever tell anyone).
And there was Beast Boy , not really her brother she didn't know what to think about him he was annoying and so not funny but he was still he was so she didn't know.
All she knew that this was her family and she was glad for the first time it was her birthday.
