Prompt: Storm

Characters: Loki/Sigyn

I do not own anything. If I did, Loki would be the main character.

The clouds had darkened to a monstrous cluster of gray and black and the clash of thunder vibrated the trees. The rain started in small droplets and fell in into a stream. Vanaheim was known for its storms. It made their plants and flowers flourish bigger and better than any have seen in the Nine Realms.

Loki had placed an invisible barrier over his and Sigyn's head. They were hunting for sport in the forest near Sigyn's home when the rain began. They had ventured too deep into the woods to turn back to her home. It would be wiser to wait until the storm had ceased.

Sigyn sighed and wrung the water from her hair and shook her head. Loki smirked as he saw her head shake from side to side and her long waves stuck to her forehead and neck.

"Vanaheim is beautiful, isn't it?" she remarked. She lied on her back and watched the rain bounce off the barrier. Loki positioned himself behind her with one leg on either side of her. He kissed her neck and listened to the harmony of the rain.

"It is. Why would you ever want to leave?"

"I didn't want to." She confessed. "But mother wanted me to marry into royalty. She didn't want me to be the Lady of a lost kingdom. Besides, I met you." She said pressing her head onto his chest.

He wasn't used to how much she made him smile, but he was flexible. He squeezed her briefly. "How long do these storms last?"

Sigyn shrugged. "Usually a half of an hour to ten hours. Sometimes it could be an entire day." Loki groaned an entire day to himself with nothing to do and he left his books and experiments in the palace. Sigyn dug her elbow into his chest. "Relax, Loki. You're with me."

She had a good point. There were so many possibilities for them and he had no idea where to start.
