Sordid
It had been a sordid affair…one that Sam had had no intention of ever becoming apart of, but he found himself drawn to her against all reason or logic…they devoured each other, body and soul, their love ripping through the fabric of the reality of their lives. When the time came to leave the town and indeed, her behind, the hunger that gnawed inside him to be with her…to stay with her… almost won out. The only thing that made him end it was the knowledge of what was coming. He couldn't bring himself to condemn the world for the passion he had for her. If it was meant to be, he would find her again, he thought, but deep down, his own bitter, battered heart told him with finality that he would never see her again…..
