Disclaimer: I'm sad to say that I don't own Smallville. I leave that to creators, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, along with Smallville developers, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.

Oliver Queen rolled over on to his side and gazed upon Chloe Sullivan sleeping only inches from him on his king sized bed. He couldn't believe that she was in his life again and that she saved him in more ways than one. Today was a really good example, but he still had yet to wonder what she'll do when she finds out that he's told his secret to the world.

Oliver brushed back a loose strand of her hair, and Chloe woke slowly and then smiled at him when she noticed that he was watching her. Oliver couldn't help but smile back at her. He had gone far too long without seeing her smile.

"Are you watching me sleep?" Chloe asked sleepily.

Oliver didn't answer her because he kissed her soundly. "I rather not do without you," he said. "I spent the past few months blaming myself for your death."

Chloe looked at him and didn't say anything. "I knew you would," she told him, "and that wasn't easy for me knowing that you'd suffer. I'd have spared you the pain, Oliver." She sat up. "If I had been with you, I'd have endured the same thing and then who knows what would've happened. Who would've saved us?"

Oliver sat up as well and smiled at her. "You're a hell of a side kick," he told. "You don't have to justify yourself to me. You hang around me and Clark long enough eventually you'd save us from ourselves. You had that, and we both understand." He took a moment before he said it because it had been so long. "I love you, Chloe, and that won't change." He kissed her softly. "I want to spend a little more time with you before Lois takes you away from me to help her with her wedding."

Chloe smiled. "I love you too, Oliver," she told him and leaned against his chest. "Don't you find it a bit weird that your ex is marrying your best friend?"

"Not as weird as that I'm going to make love with my ex's cousin until she screams my name," he retorted then kissed her as he pushed her under him knowing that they both knew that they don't think of each other in those terms.

Chloe couldn't help herself but laugh. "Am I really?" she asked coyly.

"You won't have a choice otherwise," he said.
