What few people knew is Lily Evans was not the biological daughter of Henry and Lavender Evans. She was adopted by them as a baby. Lily Rose Evans was born Nicoleta Ana Dracul, princess of vampires. They hid their daughter among the humans to save her from Voldemort who wanted her as a bride. Before they hid their daughter, they gave her a potion that would make her human. It would wear off on her eighteenth birthday.

Lily would eventually marry James and in 1980, Sara Diana Dracul-Potter was born. Due to the threat of Voldemort, James and Lily made wills and made it clear that Sara was never to even come in contact with Petunia and Vernon Dursley. Lily also did not trust Dumbledore with respecting James' and her wishes concerning Sara. That is why she left additional paperwork with her biological brother and the new king of the vampires, Vlad Dracul IV.

On Halloween of 1981, James and Lily Potter were killed. Their daughter Sara survived. Instead of obeying the Potters' wills, Dumbledore had Sara dumped on the steps of the Dursleys "for the greater good". Vlad came to Britain for his niece. When he learned Sirius Black was sentenced to Azkaban with no trial for being involved in the death of his sister, he used his influence with the ICW to overrule Dumbledore and the rest of the ministry. Sirius was given a proper trial and he was freed within a week. Sirius took Vlad up on his offer to come to Romania. There he would be able to go back to work as an Auror for the Romanian ministry. Remus still wanted to stay in Britain.

It was decided that Sara would go to Durmstrang. They had begun admitting girls in 1982. Sending Sara to Durmstrang was the best move for her and she thrived there. When the Triwizard tournament was revived in 1994, Karkaroff did not trust Dumbledore at all and felt his interest in Sara Dracul-Potter was unhealthy. It is why she remained behind even though she is one of his best students.

When her name came out of the cup, Karkaroff glared at Dumbledore. The glare became even worse when Snape insinuated that one of his older students entered Sara.

"No Snape, my students do not dare to disobey the rules. She stayed behind at Durmstrang because something like this could happen. I will be filing a complaint with the ICW as well as the vampire nation."

Dumbledore tried to look all-knowing. "The tournament still has to go on and she has to compete."

"Which is why King Dracul will be arriving with Sara. He is her legal guardian."

Snape went off. "That attention seeking brat…"

Igor cast a muting curse to shut him up. Back on the ship, he had a talk with his students.

"My students, Albus Dumbledore is not to be trusted. Today, Sara Dracul-Potter's name came out of the cup and he has implied that one of you must have done it. I will be filing a complaint with the ICW as well as the vampire nation. Unfortunately, Sara will be forced to compete.

That being said, the tournament is still on. However, we will only converse with the media from Bulgaria. There is a reporter from the Daily Prophet, Rita Skeeter. She is an animagus and her form is a beetle. If you happen to find any beetles, check to see it is her. Watch what you say out in the open as well."

Igor took his emergency portkey back to Durmstrang. He would fire call King Dracul and Lord Black before telling Sara. Both men heard what Igor had to say, and both were furious. They knew besides the threats from the tasks, there were the unscrupulous Daily Prophet and the students who would want to befriend Sara for all of the wrong reasons. Sirius had recently been promoted the head of the DMLE in Romania. He celebrated with his wife Cristina and his son James and his daughter Anna. James was eight and Anna was six. He had no intention of sending them to Hogwarts. When he tells Cristina what has happened, she will be the one Dumbledore will truly need to fear.

"I will contact Amelia Bones who is head of the DMLE in Britain. There is no doubt that Dumbledore will try and sweep this under the rug. She will order a full investigation. Now for Sara's participation, Dumbledore will try and make her stay in the castle. I say we do all of the prep-work and portkey her in on days when the champions are actually needed. She will not go anywhere without one of us."

Igor liked Black's idea as did Vlad. Vlad had something else. "This is considered an attack on vampire nation. I will have the shadow guard present. I take it Viktor Krum is your champion? I am also willing to put Viktor under the protection of the shadow guard if he desires. Now comes the difficult part, telling Sara."

Igor had his chief house elf find Sara and to no surprise, she was in the library. She looked confused and Igor brought her up to date.

"Your name came out of the cup and unfortunately it is a magically binding contract. You will only be stepping foot on Hogwarts soil the days of a task and leaving when you are done. I do not trust anyone at that English animal house."

Sara was not happy. Sirius picked up where Igor left off. "Pup, I will contact Amelia Bones of the DMLE in Britain. We will get to the bottom of this. The media in Britain most likely thinks that we will give them unlimited access to you. That could be further from the truth. Your aunt Cristina is going to be pissed off."

Vlad knew what he would say next. "I will be launching a complaint in the ICW and within the Romanian ministry. This is an attack on the vampire nation. When we do go to Hogwarts, I will bring the shadow guard and your headmaster will be offering the shadow guard for Viktor who is the other champion from Durmstrang, if he wishes."

Igor had to leave to go back to the ship. He would have further meetings to find out how Sara's name got into the cup. He found Viktor working on his honor's thesis on the ship.

"Viktor, I had to contact King Dracul because of Sara. Sara will be taking a portkey to Hogwarts on the days of the tasks and leaving when she is done. Her uncle is willing to place you under the protection of the shadow guard. It is not so much of the tasks but the psychotic journalists and crazed fans."

Viktor could see where he was coming from and he agreed with the headmaster. If he did not have to worry about the psychotic journalists, especially the ones from Britain and the crazed fans, it would leave him time to focus on winning the Triwizard tournament.

"Tell King Dracul that I will accept his offer. It is going to be bad enough with the reporters and the fans."

Igor left Viktor to work on his thesis. Viktor knew is anyone can give him hell in this tournament, it is Sara. There would be a Yule Ball for the Champions and he would love to ask her to be his date. However, given the environment most likely will end up going back to Romania for Yule.

Back in Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy plotted how he could get close to Sara Dracul-Potter. He knew an alliance with the vampires would be beneficial to the Malfoy family but knew his odds with her are not ideal. Sirius Black had disowned his mother and him from the Black family. There would be zero chances of him becoming Lord Black because Sirius has a male heir. He did her once at the quidditch world cup and she looked enchanting.

While his godfather may be cursing Sara Dracul-Potter, there was no way in hell she could have placed her name in the cup. His father said students at Durmstrang do not dare to break the rules and those who do rarely repeat, unlike at Hogwarts. He would write to his parents to let them know what transpired.

In the Beauxbatons carriage, Fleur had known something foul had happened. While the idiots at Hogwarts had believed Sara placed her name in the cup, those at Beauxbatons did not. She decided to write to her father who is France's ambassador in the ICW. Her father has had a healthy skepticism of Dumbledore for years and feels he has his hands in too many cauldrons.
