Note- Imra and Mon-El got divorced and found a way for the planets to live in peace. They were never really romantically involved anyway. They were just friends who were forced into a situation neither liked. Also, I'm going off of how the field scene in the first episode of supergirl season 3 was. Perhaps it was a vision of how Kara and Mon-El will be reunited. Disclaimer: I don't own Supergirl or any of the characters or this scene. I'm just putting my own twist to it and adding on.

Kara-

I could feel this fight was different. In my heart I knew what this meant for me and I came to accept it.

It's been a year since I have seen Mon-El. He and I left with the understanding that the universe would never have us be together on earth. Today I'm living my final moment on earth as I prepare to join my father, aunts and uncle in Rao's Light. I have succeeded my mission and will leave knowing I have done this world good and have served to the best of my being. It's my time.

4 months later

I had a mission that going into I knew was a risk and I felt this would be different. The mission required going back to Kara's time. My heart is broken over the news I have heard. The love of my life has passed. My mission is over and I succeeded it, just like she succeeded her last mission. I'm sitting in the legion ship holding my beloved Kara's necklace. Kara. The love of my life. Forever and always. It's always been her; and it will always be her. I grasp tightly to the necklace and look up at the ceiling. "I will be with you soon. I love you to the ends of the universe and back my love." I soon drift off and all I can see is black. I open my eyes and find that I am in a beautiful field. I look ahead to see the back of a woman who is reaching out to touch the tall grass. Kara. Immediately I know it is my love.

I walk up behind her and run my hand down her smooth arm. I take in her familiar scent and know I can truly breathe again. She turns to me surprised and I give her a light smile. I stroke her hair and go down to her cheek and she flashes that smile that I love so much. She inches closer to me and I lean the rest of the distance to her lips. Her hand finds it's way to my neck and makes it's way down to my shoulders. We break the kiss and my hands make their way down to her waist. We lean our foreheads into each other and take in the love we have for each other, forever and always.

"Hi." She whispers sweetly.

"Hi." I say softly back.

We kiss again and sadly break apart again.

Kara-

I show him to the village in Rao's light where everyone is friendly, happy, and loved. I show him where I live and tell him of the past 4 months here. I talk of reuniting with my father, aunts, and uncle. He tells me how he missed me and we make it to the bedroom and cuddle in my bed.

"Mon-El." I whisper softly.

"Kara." He says back in his angelic voice.

"I love you more than anything in the universe." I say to him while tearing up.

"I love you more than anything. You give my life meaning." He whispers meaningfully.

He kisses my cheek then looks into my eyes. He wipes my tears.

"Comets" He whispers. "Please don't cry my love. I can't bear to see you sad."

"Mon-El, I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life. This is the happiest I'll be. When I'm with you."

"Now we never have to say goodbye." He says. "I love you." He says.

"Forever and always" I finish.
