A Sweet Promise

An Ironwillshipping: Riley x Dawn

Its Valentine's Day in Canalave City and everyone is going lovey-dovey over sweets and flowers. But one person is not really into this kind of holiday. A man name Riley. There's a good reason why he's not into it. The reason is that a lot of girls in the city kept sending him random love letters and store bought chocolate. All he is looking for is one type of girl that's not too lovey-dovey over Valentine's Day and knows how to make chocolate with all their heart. As usually Riley went to his mailbox to see what he got this time and see's a boat load of love letters pouring out of the mailbox. But suddenly he notice one type of letter that was different from the others. It had no hearts or any glitter on it. Just a plain letter with his name on it and attached to a small red box.

"Hmmm I wonder who this is from….oh its Dawn from Twinleaf Town…this is a surprise getting a letter from her. I wonder what she wrote on it" said Riley.

Dear Riley,

Long time no see. How goes the training on Iron Mountain? Hope your not pushing yourself and your Pokemon. Its best relax to relax once in a while during training. Wish I could stay and train with you but I had to finish my journey. Oh yeah guess what? I finally beat the sinnoh league and beat the Cynthia and became the champion of sinnoh. Aren't you proud of me? But now I'm thinking about competing into a Pokemon contest in Hearthome City. Hope you can make it and see me compete in it. Oh yeah I bet your wondering why I didn't write some lovey-dovey love letter to you. I bet you were excepting like hearts or other glittery designs on it and other cheesy stuff don't you? Don't lie I know you were thinking about it. But to be honest I did started to have a crush on you when we first meet on Iron Mountain. I couldn't help staring at you. You were so handsome and very dashing while battling against some galactic grunts. And after we defeated them, you gave me a riolu egg for helping you. I was very happy when you gave one to me. I wanted to thank you but you ran off before I could say anything. But I knew someday I'd meet you again. The gym leader of Canalave City told me where you live before I left the city. Oh yes did you get the red that I sent you with the letter? Don't worry there not store bought chocolate. I made them with all my heart. I hope you like them. Reply once you try the chocolate that I made you. Also there's a special surprise within the box. Well enjoy and Happy Valentine's Day 3

"Humph…well she went through all this trouble so mine as well try it" said Riley As he open the box. Riley see's a small picture within the box and looks at it. It's a picture of Dawn sitting under the cherry blossoms with a warm sweet smile on her face.

Also he notice there's something written on the back of the picture.

P.S: This picture of me is for you only. Keep this picture to remember me by. I wanted to give this picture to you because I want someone like you to always remember me. This is my wish on Valentine's Day. My wish is for you to keep that picture til I meet you again someday. Until then, keep that picture til I see you again

As Riley finish reading the note on the back of the picture, he smiles and looks back at the picture. "Don't worry Dawn. I will keep my promise".

Riley puts the picture on the table and is about to try the chocolates that Dawn made for him. As he tried it, he smiled and never thought Dawn's chocolate taste so good but notice something else.

"Dawn's chocolates is very good. I gave her an A for the chocolates but a C for making it too sweet in the chocolate (Laughs happily)"
