Fool Me Once, Fool Me Twice
Mariabella hummed happily as she hurried back home from gathering the needed items from town. She almost couldn't believe that today was the day. And just the thought that it was her little sister made it all the more special. She had just reached the front door when the sound of maniacal laughter filled the front lawn.
"I am the assassin of the night. I live in the dark and hide my face by day. I am the embodiment of fear and evil. My name is…"
"Oh! I know you!" Mariabella said, interrupting Hartia's dramatic speech. "My sister's told me about you. You're New Shrimpman Right?"
"Awwwe!" Hartia whined. "Even you Ms Mariabella?"
Mariabella just smiled as she motioned for New Black Tiger to follow her into the house.
"I know that you're probably here to see Mr. Orphen but he's upstairs right now getting ready for the baby. You're welcome to come inside and wait with us if you'd like."
For a second Hartia was on cloud nine. A red blush shown threw his black mask as he giddily thought about being present for the birth of Krylancelo's baby. That is, he was until he remembered a similar situation that occurred only two years ago. Quickly he regained his cool and cleared his throat as he stood strait and flung his cape out behind him.
"Ha ha ha ha! You believe that you can fool me in such a way? I am the New Black Tiger! The same trick shall never work on me twi—!"
The sound of a baby crying floated through Cleo's open window and Mariabella sighed.
"Oh dear. It seems that Cleo already had the baby."
Tears streamed down Hartia's cheeks soaking his mask.
"You mean that Krylancelo really did have a baby? And I…missed it?" His chin dropped to his chest in defeat. "Awe man!"
Kaliea: Yes it's short and there was no real point, but I was watching Orphen earlier today and I saw the episode with the dog where Hartia thought that it was Orphen's baby and I was just wondering how he would react if he thought he was being tricked a second time. Just a worthless drabble really, but I had fun writing it. Don't forget to review!
