Tina couldn't believe this.

Mike seemed like such a nice guy. No, that's not right. He is a nice guy. He really does care about her, and she feels incredibly lucky to be with him.

But right now she's on her seventh date with Mike at the Red Lantern, the Chinese place his parents run. Mrs. Chang is sitting next to them, chattering away at some childhood memory of living in Shanghai, with Mike listening earnestly and laughing along with all the crazy shenanigans his mother did during her girlhood. This is the fifth time in a row that one of their dates end up like this.

Is it so wrong for her and Mike to be alone? With no one around? And no dim sum? Italian would be a nice change from all the dim sum. Dim sum is good, but not after eating it for what feels like the hundredth time. Please no more dim sum.

Apparently, she's a neither a priority over Halo nor Mrs. Chang. Maybe she should do what all desperate girls do when guys aren't paying them any attention and go lesbian. She chuckles to herself. Nah, that's a little extreme.

She nudges Mike's shoulder when his mom gets up and leaves to get some water. She whispers in her most sultry voice, "Hey there. Let's go to the park, it's so nice out. Plus it's been way too long since I last saw those abs." She even threw in a wink at the end for extra effect! Boys are suckers for that kind of sexy, right?

No dice.

"Sorry Tina, but my mom'll be back in any second. How about tomorrow?"

Tina sighs. "Yeah sure, whatever."

Quinn's still single, right?

As much as I love me some Artina, this little plot bunny just wouldn't go away. Hence this ridiculously short drabblet.

Reviews are love. :)
