Ron, Ginny, and Harry sat in the Gryffindor common room tasting Ron's soufflé from culinary magic. Harry took a bite and raised his eyebrows.
"Not bad, Ron." Harry said putting down his spoon. Ginny nodded. Ron smiled.
"Harry do you know where Hermione is?" Ron asked. Ginny elbowed Harry and he rolled his eyes.
"You know, someday your going to have to tell Hermione you like her." Harry told Ron. Ron's ears turned red.
"I'm just asking where she is!" Ron huffed. Ginny chuckled. Hermione walked in the room holding a copy of "The Daily Prophet"
"Guys! You will never believe what I just read!" Hermione said. All the Gryffindor's turned their heads to Hermione's. She cleared her throat and read the passage.
"12 year old Kalyssa, a Beauxbatons student protects her room mates and sacrifices herself. She ends up fatally injured and in hospital care at this very moment. Rita Skeeter got an exclusive interview with this brave Beauxbatons student." Hermione said loud and clearly. The whole Gryffindor room looked very impressed.
Hermione read the interview out loud.
Rita: How did you feel when you saw Voldemort in your sleep quarters? Did it scare you? Were you brave?
Kalyssa: Please, can you just let me rest?
Rita: Where are you injuries?
Kalyssa: Nurse? Nurse?
Rita: One more question. What happened after the attack?
Nurse: Ms. Skeeter? Ah yes, Kalyssa is trying to recover from work of dark magic, please visit another time.
Hermione finished with a cough and looked around. She found Harry's face and saw him look as if he just jumped off a cliff, got bitten by alligators, and survived with no damage done.
Harry was amused. The girl was so brave and bold. But now Voldemort has two main targets to hit. Harry felt bad for the Beauxbatons student.
"We should get something to eat. I'm starving." Ron said. Ginny and Hermione nodded.
"Harry, are you going to come to lunch?" Ginny asked. Harry nodded. He got up and followed his friends to the Great Hall. As he entered, he saw Dumbledore on his pedestal which meant he had an announcement to make.
"Wizards and Witches, please have a seat." Dumbledore said. His voiced boomed across the whole room as he put his wand to his throat. Harry sat down and took a small plate of salad.
"If you have read The Daily Prophet, you will know that a Beauxbatons student has been harmed by dark forces. Because of the danger at that school now, she will transfer here for the rest of her school years." Dumbledore declared. Harry couldn't believe this was happening. He could meet the brave student!
"I would like it if you would treat her like a friend and treat her carefully because she has been through many surgeries and if you cast a charm on her, she might just black out." Dumbledore said. "Now, back to your lunches please, thank you." He took his wand off his throat and left the pedestal.
Harry went to bed that night thinking only about Kalyssa. He couldn't wait to meet her and to see what she looked like. He couldn't believe that she was a second year like him too. Harry finally closed his eyes and went to bed.
