Tobi watched the barber bleed as he left the basement.
As soon as he walked out he bumped into two constables with a young man and a woman dressed like a man.
The constables looked down at him, covered in blood and a shaving knife in his hand.
"What is the meaning of this?" said one of them.
"Where's Mr. Todd?" said a young man in long hair with a girl in men's clothing.
"Dead," said Tobi.
"Your sight explains everything," said the other constable. "You are in trouble, sir."
Tobi rushed up to the barbershop with the constables after him. He accidently bumped into the chair and put his foot on something, which made the chair fall back revealing a trapdoor.
The constables topped dead and prepared into the hole.
"Isn't that the same basement you came out from?" asked the first constable.
"Yes, sir," said Tobi. "I'm guessing Mr. Todd turned men into meat pies. I ate one down there and found a thumb inside. And then I noticed a pile of bones and skulls."
They went back down to the basement, looked at the sight. The boy was right.
"Well I'll be thunked!" said one of the constables.
"But I don't understand," said Anthony. "Mr. Todd wouldn't do such a terrible thing."
"Sorry, son," said the second constable, "But we pretty much have all the proof. Including the fact that Mrs. Lovett's helped him. It all fits, this being a meat pie shop."
"But crime is still clear," said the first constable. "Where is the boy?"
Tobi disappeared.
"We need to go sir," said Anthony. "The two of us are planning to leave London forever."
"On your way then," one of them said, and they ran off.
Suddenly, Tobi emerged from the sewers and went up to them.
"Allow me to serve you both," said Tobi. "I've no one else."
"Should we, Anthony?" asked Johanna.
"We should," said Anthony holding Johanna's hand. "We owe him for saving London from a monster."
And they left the basement, a new family.
