Prompts: Poetry, The Baby

She woke to Lee's voice as he murmured on the other side of the room. Keeping her eyes closed she allowed a small smile to cross her face as she listened to his words. "here is the deepest secret nobody knows…." Soon enough Lee had finished and slowly crawled back into the bed so as to not wake Kara up.

Lee wrapped his arms around her waist and nudged the back of her neck with his nose, taking a deep breath and filling his senses with everything Kara.

"What about me Lee?" Kara quietly teased, only giving him a small shock that she was awake to hear him.

"You already know that Kara." He replied as he kissed the spot right below her ear, and tightening his hold on her.

Kara rolled a little to the side to take in his face as she slowly fingered the band on her finger. "Maybe I want you to prove it to me sometimes, to make me believe," she said and kissed his chin. She reached up and cupped his cheek, her thumb rubbing his top lip.

Lee gently bit her thumb and smiled. He rolled her under him and settled in between her legs as he lovingly looked into her hazel eyes. "i carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart) i am never without it,"

She pulled him close and asked "The baby?" in a breathless whisper, already falling into the passion that Lee built in her when he looked at her like that.

"Little Joe is changed and back asleep," Lee whispered back. He kissed her lips, pouring all the love and happiness that she had filled him with since finding this earth, into it.

"Lee," she whimpered, " please…" He loved when she sounded like that and could deny her nothing. He entered her and both were overwhelmed every time at the feeling. It was slow, loving, something that never happened until the night that Lee had asked her to marry him, and she had said yes.

When they finally broke, it was together, staring into each others eyes. They needed no words to say how much they loved the other. Lee rolled to the side and pulled Kara into himself once more.

They both were falling into a sated, loving sleep when Kara kissed him again and said, "You know that is my favorite poem."

Lee, smiling, said "I read it, and it says everything that I want to. 'you are my fate'."

"I love you Lee," she said and they listened to their baby as exhaustion took them.

A friend said that the narrator was love sick, I tend to agree lol, and it is my favorite poem.
