A young Kagome sat at the table that was currently is her kitchen. And she was staring at someone. A young Inuyasha, who sat across from her at the table. And Inuyasha was staring at her.
They really had no clue what was happening.
It had happened very suddenly, their mothers had set up a playdate for them, at Kagome's house, and they were now being forced to make chocolate chip cookies.
Well, that's what they were supposed to be doing. Instead, they just sat across from each other. Staring at each other, not exactly an exciting thing to do.
"Um... maybe we should make the cookies now?" Kagome asked, trying to get the dog boy to DO something.
Silence.
Kagome blinked, God, was he really shy or something? "Um... I'll go get the dough..." She waited a few seconds, wanting to see if he'd react, which he didn't, then got up. Kagome came back to the table with cookie dough in hand, wondering if this playdate was going to be any fun at all. Probably not.
He blinked.
"Good. I thought he might be dead." Kagome mumbled under her breath, while she set the cookie dough on the table and pulled her chair closer to him.
"I'm not dead." He said flatly, his ears twitching. Apparently, he had heard her. Stupid dog-ears with their superior hearing.
Kagome huffed and replied, "Well, since you're not dead, let's make cookies!" She might as well sound excited, maybe that would get him to move.
Inuyasha slowly turned his head to look at Kagome, then down at the cookie dough. "What are we supposed to do with it?" he asked.
"Roll it into little balls and put them on this cookie sheet." she motioned to the cookie sheet sitting on the counter next to them. "Haven't you ever made cookies before?"
He shook his head, hair and ears flopping all over the place. Hesitantly, he took a chunk of the cookie dough and rolled it into a little ball. Eyeing Kagome, he snickered a little and threw the dough at her. The little ball struck Kagome in the forehead and she gasped. He had thrown cookie dough at her. How could he? Well, he was going to be sorry, because this meant war. Kagome picked up a huge ball of dough and hit Inuyasha in the chest, making him stumble backwards a couple inches. Snickering, he chucked some more dough at her. A cookie dough fight came after that, both of them hitting the other rather hard.
A half an hour later...
There were two lumps of cookie dough left. Only two. Inuyasha and Kagome had thrown the rest, making them un-edible. They were both worn out from extreme laughter, lying on the floor actually, but Kagome had enough strength left to put the lumps of cookie dough on the cookie sheet. With her eyes on Inuyasha she said, "One for you and one for me."
Inuyasha blushed and looked away, he had grown to like this girl quite a lot.
Kagome saw that this was the time. He had let his guard down and she could do what she had wanted to ever since he walked into her house. Sliding over quietly, so that he wouldn't notice her, and got so that she was right behind him. She quickly tugged his cute little ears, which made Inuyasha turn around to see her. Once he had turned around, Kagome planted a big kiss on his cheek. "You're just as sweet as a chocolate chip cookie." she said, making Inuyasha blush furiously.
