Author's Note: I blame Phoenix to Flame. XD I don't normally go for twincest, in fact it really bugs me in most fandoms, but I can actually see how one would do it with these two. Also we had a conversation about them that led to this. XD Oh and the rating will change to M in the next chapter, so it won't be on the front page anymore. :P

.

It was a movie that originally sparked the idea.

Subaru couldn't remember anymore what movie it was, something about a princess falling asleep and getting woken up by a prince's kiss. Hokuto had fallen instantly in love with the princess's dress and at first wanted to be her. However, she quickly changed her mind and decided that she liked the fairies more and declared herself the bossy leader of the troop who seemed to be forever helping the Prince out.

Subaru of course was declared the Prince, mostly so that Hokuto had an excuse to tell him what to do, as though she needed one. So she directed him around the family estate, declaring various objects dragons and handing him stick-er-swords, with which to vanquish said beasts. This endeavor failed for the most part however, as Subaru could not help feeling sorry for the dragons, forgetting that they were not even real in the first place and even resulted in him breaking down into tears at one point when she insisted one again that he try to slay the trash can.

It was at that point that Hokuto gave up and declared the dragon dead and gone, or rather, off taking a nap just to calm her brother down. So they proceeded to the next scene in which the Prince was of course expected to revive the slumbering girl with a tender kiss. This led to a sniffling pause during which Subaru sniffled and Hokuto contemplated what to use as a Princess. She could have trekked back up to her bedroom and brought down a doll but realized that she wouldn't really be involved as the fairy so declared her role as having changed.

So she coronated herself with a small circlet out of pine needles and lay down in a bed of leaves, pretending to be fast asleep. When Subaru simply sat off to the side, playing with a caterpillar for several minutes, she sat up and yelled at him to fulfill his princely duties. He balked at the demand at first as he had done with the dragon-slaying but when Hokuto flopped back down and declared that she was going to die if a prince did not come awaken her, Subaru panicked.

He crawled over to the bed of leaves and hurriedly leaned down, giving her a quick peck on the cheek. Hokuto rolled her eyes beneath closed lids and informed him that that kind of kiss was never going to wake up a princess. Subaru began to protest once more and so she rolled her head to the side and held her breath until in his terror, he leaned down and briefly pressed his lips to hers.

It was only a split second, and they took the scene no further, immediately moving on to another game, now that Hokuto's interest in this one had worn off, but it was the first kiss.

And it would not be the last.
