"Hello there."

He knew he didn't have to turn his head to see whom that voice belonged to. Nevertheless, he looked down from the sky and settled his eyes on her. Her eyes were still as blue as he'd remember; the alabaster skin as pale as before. She hasn't changed one bit. For a moment, a wave of nostalgia once again washed over him. He caught himself, however, and he smiled as she neared him.

"Hi. How are you doing?"

Her air was friendly, just like how it was the first time he'd met her.

"Fine, I guess," she replied, smiling pleasantly. "What were you doing?"

He looked up again and was silent for a moment. Finally, he said: "I was looking at the sky. It's so blue and pretty."

She looked up as well and chuckled, "It is, right?" He could sense the smile on her lips, as a past memory made its way into his mind. "Just like the old days…"

He smiled. "Yup, just like the old days…" he echoed silently.

They were quiet for a few moments. A cold breeze passed through them and she tightened her coat. "I heard you have a girlfriend," she said afterwards.

He laughed and looked down from the sky, holding onto his neck. "My neck's starting to hurt," he said off-handedly.

She smiled. "So, it's a yes, then?"

"Haha, no. Where did you get that?"

"Oh," she blinked. "It's not hard getting news about you, you know."

"Oh, really, now."

Their eyes met each other, and for a second, he saw nothing but forgotten promises, pained smiles and her pale face smeared with dried-up tears. She deliberately looked away, and he saw the exhaustion in her eyes.

He cleared his throat and tried to lighten up the mood. "Got lots of things to do in the family," he smiled pleasantly. "You know. Business stuffs…"

And she did know. A person who has known him for so long would never miss that detail about the young don's life. And she was not just any other person.

She smiled again, a decent memory surfacing. It's about a girl and a boy with hopeful eyes, looking up into the sky like there's no tomorrow, savoring every moment, no matter how well they knew that they'll still be with each other long enough to stare at the sky together.

"Besides," his words knocked her gently out of her thoughts, and she looked up to catch him staring at her with the same eyes she'd fallen for; the same ones that she used to stare at instead of the pretty sky they both promised to look at together.

"What is it, Dino?" she asked. She thought her voice was going to crack, but it didn't.

"You said I should look for someone better than you, remember? I've been looking these entire four years." Dino's voice was then a whisper. "How can I look for someone better if I'd let go of the best I could ever have?"

YES, THE SKY IS BLUE. And it's as obvious as their feelings towards each other, yet they still won't admit it. HARHAR. YEAHIKNOW. LAME. (running out of ideas for my title).

I got the whole idea of the story from a quote I read online. Err, it wasn't a quote, though. It's more like a conversation between a guy and his ex. Like, you know those stuffs you read on tumblr? The ones with:

"Boy: blablablabla.

Girl: Nanananana."

Yeah, something like that.
