"Don't go, Bells," Jacob pleaded as Bella rushed out the door. Alice was already waiting in the car.

"I have to go, I'm sorry, Jake," she said hastily. Jacob grabbed her and held her face in his hands.

"Stay with me, Bella. Please."

Months later.

She and Jacob are together now.

She's graduated from Forks High, and is going to look for a job when Jake goes back to school since she didn't bother applying to colleges during her mourning phase. When she's not looking for work, she spends her time in the garage, watching Jacob work.

Mostly, she distracts him.

He can't concentrate when she bites her lip, or touches him gently. Hell, everything about her is distracting.

It's raining cats and dogs outside and he knows she's cold, but doesn't say anything, because right now she's so close he can smell her shampoo.

"So what are you supposed to do now?" she asks.

Jacob doesn't answer.

He leans in and kisses her for the twentieth time today.

The work on the car is forgotten as Jacob and Bella spend their afternoon in the back seat of the Rabbit.

Jacob and Bella have an apartment together. They've been together for five years now.

He's going to propose.

They're laying next to each other in bed.

He's watching t.v., and she's reading a book. Again.

"Marry me?" he asks when there is a commercial break.

She turns to him and kisses his cheek.

"Sure, sure.

It's a fun wedding.

Bella and Jake get married at the beach.

Charlie is the only one wearing shoes.

They get on the bike and head south for their honeymoon.

She stands at the door of the garage and watches Jacob teach their two year old son how to do an oil change.

Bella's very emotional these days—the pregnancy hormones are affecting her. She rubs her belly affectionately. She can't wait for their daughter to join the family.

"So, first you have to..." Jake whispers to the boy like it's their own special secret. Little boy Black has his father's eyes, and he's looking up at his old man like he's the most important person in his life. Jacob smiles the smile that has won her heart over and over again, and kisses his son on the head.

Jacob is staring at the fearful face of his future son-in-law.

"You hurt my daughter, I'll kill you, raise you back from the dead, and kill you myself."

The boy nods in fear.

They're old now.

She never thought she'd see this day.

Jacob's built her a porch swing and they sit on it every night, holding hands, kissing ( much to the chagrin of their grandchildren) who play in the yard, and laugh at their Grandpa Jake and Nana Bella.

"Love you, Bells. I'm glad you stayed."

"Me too."

"Bella, you have five minutes. He'll be under the clock tower.

Bella opens her eyes and looks at Alice.

She nods.
