Lockdown was in the middle of screwing Swindle when the other mech's expression suddenly changed from one of ecstasy to rapt concentration.

Lockdown paused, and peered at him.

"Yes, you've got the right frequency - is this about the Celladorian Quark Bombs? They come in packs of ten, right?" Swindle said, distractedly. He fell silent, and canted his head to one side as if listening to something that only he could hear. "Mmhmm... Sorry, I'm busy right now."

"You're answering a comcall during sex?" Lockdown muttered.

Swindle gave Lockdown a 'one moment' gesture, and frowned, still listening. Lockdown decided to carry on regardless. When it didn't look like Swindle was going to end the call any time soon, Lockdown took it as a challenge, and pinched a small cluster of wires that ran along the inside of Swindle's thigh. Swindle moaned, then swatted Lockdown's hand away.

"What? No. I just... stubbed my foot on a door frame." Swindle looked up at the ceiling. "I'm fine. Hang on to that artifact for me, I should be able to come and pick it up in five decacycles. Yes, I'll be able to pay up front. I can put a deposit down for the other stuff as well, but I won't be able to pay the full price until some time in the next twenty solar cycles. Yes, I mean Centauri solar cycles, not Volantis solar cycles. I need to stop by Yuggoth first, so I'll drop by while I'm in the area."

Lockdown gave Swindle a punch in the arm. Not as hard as he could've done, but hard enough to hurt.

That got Swindle's attention. He gave Lockdown a (rather insincere) apologetic look, and held up his hands. "Alright! I'll close the comlink connection. It was a really good deal, too."

Lockdown grunted at him, and returned to the matter at hand.

Just when he thought he had Swindle's focus again, Lockdown glanced up and took note of Swindle's expression.

Swindle still had that distracted, thoughtful look, like he was listening to someone.

Lockdown's patience ran out. He viciously kicked Swindle off the berth they were sharing, and stalked off to find something to dissect.

They didn't have sex again for another 300 years.
