It had been 8 years (a/n: 8+14yrs old.. there you go;)) since the world had saved by the pilots of Nerv. But what ever happened to the pilots? They tried to keep in touch but their separate lives called to them and they all had to move on.
They could not take it anymore.(a/n: I mean come on they lived with and known each other for some time and well you know how it is) Finally they made a date and a place where they could have a reunion . They invited all of there old friends and Nerv employees, All were excited when they heard the news about the reunion. Especially Asuka she was in love, in love with Shinji. She felt depressed when she heard that Shinji had a girlfriend but was quickly happy when she found out that their relationship was over.
It was the night of the reunion. Asuka had changed so many times before she decided that he shouldn't care what she looked like on the outside it's the inside that counts. She had learned that from Shinji when he first told Asuka that he loved her, even then she loved him but was to naive to ever relies it. She got into her car and drove to the old Nerv head quarters.
There was lights flashing every where's, people hugging others and some people already drunk, Misato! Asuka walked up the stairs to the main lobby and sat down. She sat there for I long time until she saw him, Shinji and not to mention how handsome he had gotten over the past 8 years.
It took me by surprise
When I saw you standing there

Breathing the same air
He saw Asuka looking at him in awe. He blushed, like every other time he saw her. He walked slowly over to her and sat down beside her.
You asked me how I'd been
I guess that's when I smiled and said just fine
Oh but baby I was lying.
He gave his little smile back and asked Asuka if She would like to dance. Shinji was ready for the big rejection, but was surprised when Asuka said yes.(A/N: Of course she said YES). As the two hit the dance floor everyone cleared out.
The two looked deep into each others eyes. He too had fallen badly in love , not just at that moment but from the moment he first saw her.

The song ended and the two separated and went to do something else.

Asuka went out the front entrance and walked to a near by bench. Her heart was singing. She finally decided that it was tonight or never. And tonight was it. The reunion was over. She was walking to find Shinji and tell him everything. She found him about to get into his car when she yelled to him, he stopped and ran to her.
