(a/n): Don't own. Just a little drabble type thing about conversations between Zuko and Aang. Concrit, flames, praises, all comments are welcome. On with the fic.

A-A-A

Aang, Sokka and Zuko sat on Appa's tail stargazing as the fire dwindled down to ashes. They were the last three sitting in what had been set up as the eating, training and general gathering area for the now considerable larger gaang. Katara had gone off to bed and Toph had decided to turn in as well. No one really knew were Teo, Haru and the Duke were, it seemed as though the three fifth wheels had formed a tricycle of there own.

"Nice to know we won't have to worry about crazy stalkers anymore…no offense Zuko."

Zuko raised his sole eyebrow and glowered, (nothing out of the ordinary there) but said nothing as Sokka opened his mouth to continue. Before he could say anything Aang cut across him,

"What about Zhao, we haven't seen him for ages, but he's probably out there somewere."

Zuko was about to reply when Sokka yawned and sat up.

"Nah, he was probably demoted after the North Pole. Can't chase us down without his resources, or something. Whatever the case I need my sleep. G'night."

He didn't wait for a reply as he headed for his room. Zuko let the comfortable silence drift between them for a moment before deciding to tell Aang.

"You don't have to worry about Zhao anymore."

Aang turned to face Zuko, an excitedly curious expression on his face,

"You know what happened to him?"

"Yes…he's dead. Well actually I don't know what the ocean spirit is doing to him but I'm guessing death is a big possibility."

There was another stretch of silence. This time Aang broke it,

"Oh. Um, good. I guess."

"He deserved whatever he got. He tried to have me killed."

"Why?!" Aang asked, incredulous.

"He found out I was the blue spirit. So he hired those pirates to blow up my ship… while I was still on it."

"Oh…he did deserve it then." Aang replied, still sounding hesitant."It's just, I may be only 12 years old, but it was 12 years raised as a monk. I don't like the idea of anyone dieing."

Zuko just grunted in understanding, not necessarily agreement. A few minutes later Aang spoke up again.

"His side burns made him look like a monkey."

Zuko snorted.

"Way to change the subject."

"I'm serious! You should have seen his face when I told him you were better than him. Priceless."

Zuko sat up with a jolt.

"You what?"

"Oh yeah, I was trying to get him angry so he would accidently set his own ships on fire and I said 'For some reason I thought you'd be better than Zuko.' His reaction was hilarious."

"Did you mean it?" Zuko's tone was still bitter, he disliked thinking about what he'd done to the group when he had been so set on capturing Aang. However, now it was Aang's turn to snort.

"Of course. He has absolutely no self control. No discipline."

Zuko smirked despite himself. He was glad to know he hadn't been a joke, though he still felt guilty for his actions.

"Thanks Aang."

"For what?"

"Lots of things." Zuko replied enigmatically. They both turned back to the sky, content to just relax on Appa's tail and gaze up at the twinkling lights above them.

(a/n): Yeah I know, crappy ending, but I had to end it somehow.
