Disclaimer: I own the poem and that's it. I do not own Tomb Raider or anything connected to it.

Author's Note: As of late I am obsessed with writing poetry, so here is my latest addition to both my collection and to the TR category. ^_^

Another clank, another clack,

Another adventure unfolds around her.

The train of life, hers, runs on the same track

While the silent danger stirs.

She can save the day,

Again and over, 'til night is near.

But what can she say

When she's ignored the ones she holds so dear?

Can she carelessly shrug, and with a flick

Of her head, scoff? "At

Least I didn't fall for love's tricks."

Or so she thought.

Could she grow somber, remembering the past?

"I didn't stop to smell

The roses. The friendships didn't last.

Even so, I wish them all well."

Too many feelings rushing through her heart,

Leave her pained at the memories she

Didn't stop to start.

Some things, though, are never meant to be.

Lara Croft, the woman of stone,

Surrounded by those who love her,

Knows that she could forever be alone

If she doesn't stop to care.

She forgets, of course,

That they really do love her.

Family and friends, not forced.

They know that adventure's lure

Is too strong for her to ignore,

But that they don't mind.

It's what they are there for,

To make sure other bits of her life are never left behind.

Eventually, she has to smile,

Knowing that, full well,

She will travel for miles,

But she's not like a crab: Alone with it's shell.

She has them, her friends.

Forever and always will they be

There, from beginnings to ends.

And adventure, in her friendships, is always key.

o.O Don't look at me; I have no idea where inspiration for this came from! Not one of my greatest poems either... But the TR section needs more poetry... And fics in general. ^_^

Reviews are lovely. Flames are not. If you do have a flame, please send it to my secretary, the Proto. Unless they're on vacation. In that case... Uhm, you're on your own there. XD
