"I wish I was your dreams..."
In her dreams, his onyx eyes would reflect each of her gracious movements. Velvet-black would travel down her swam neck to her fingers holding the fans.
They never did.
Blue, brown, green, honey, pale… Every color looked at her painted face, keeping in mind she was untouchable, a geisha, only there to elicit their needs, their wants, when she will disappear. Only there to dance gracefully behind a mask.
"Look at me…"
He knew she wasn't searching for his eyes. Hazel never tried to reach him in the shadows. It never looked his way as he paid for her dance, a bun to keep her chocolate hair up, her mouth to taste only dreams instead of biting in his reality.
A danna in his dreams and a geisha in hers.
He poured his sake still being the Moon she would never hope to see.
"Only once, take off your mask."
He held her chin up but she still refuse to see his eyes straight in front of her. Her face wasn't painted to please his request. Her lips were still red and her eyes, hazel, trying to break free from his grip. He leaned in her neck beating with his fingers the sound of a music she wanted to forget with time. She looked up attempting to brush her lips against his but he stopped her, his eyes piercing through her.
She didn't want this for real nor from him. She wasn't there for him, not yet.
"Don't kiss me on the lips unless it really means freedom… for the both of us." He whispered collapsing back in the shadows.
The void took her place as he closed his eyes raging for letting her go once more.
"Dance for me… Only for my pearl eyes…"
He was not there, at his usual table.
His wife was giving birth to his first child. He had never looked at the geishas. He was searching for emerald eyes all this long.
She closed her eyes following the music coldly.
The men didn't notice. She was still beautiful, secure behind a mask of lies, even if it was beginning to fall apart.
"I wish I could offer you freedom…"
He looked down at his sake before glaring at her back.
When will she face him?
She shivered her eyes still close. He continued to glare.
When will she open them?
She stepped on the rest of the mask. She was finally looking directly at him.
Him… He was there.
Him… He loved her.
Him… He needed her for real, not as a geisha.
"Open your eyes!"
Onyx eyes sank in the darkness. She sealed them herself.
She threw the fan in the air catching it blindly. All along, she was imagining his soft moons always respecting what she couldn't give him, his heart pouncing against hers while bleeding openly on her.
The music ended leaving its place to reality and he was still there.
"I love you. I always have."
No mask.
No music.
No onyx eyes.
No danna.
No geisha.
She let the kimono fall at her feet.
She was only a woman seeking in the eyes of a man for an answer while biting her lip nervously.
He reassured her still surprised, shock by her hazel eyes. They were on him. No more dreams. He laced his fingers with hers as he passed his other hand in her hair. Chocolate locks contrasted with the satin sheets underneath her.
She smiled for him and reality but still for the man in front of her.
"Tonight, Neji, kiss me only on the lips."
My friend Sethsuyara and I wrote this, so I'm afraid I don't deserve all the credits. Only the half. ;P
However, I still hope you have liked it. :)
