Drabble: [Event] Attending a funeral
Word count will be at end.
The day of Sirius' funeral was overcast.
The clouds were a dark gloomy grey, reflecting the somber atmosphere of the cemetery. The air was frigid, causing people to have to wear coats and jackets with scarves and gloves.
Harry stood in front of Sirius' grave, staring down at it with blank eyes. He may have only known the man who had been his godfather for two years, but he had been one of the only adults he really trusted.
And now he was gone.
A hand touched his shoulder and he looked up to see Hermione's solemn face, Ron behind her. "Are you okay, Harry?" she asked softly, studying his face with her eyes.
"I. . . I don't know," he mumbled, looking away from her searching eyes. "I just. . . I don't know how I feel."
There was a sigh, and then she was hugging him gently, her arms wrapping around him in a warm and comforting hug. "I'm sorry," she whispered to him. "I'm sorry he's gone and that we couldn't do anything to save him. I'm sorry I hadn't seen Bellatrix." She sniffed at the end.
He hugged her back, tears pricking his eyes. "It's not your fault," he mumbled softly. "It was mine because I thought he'd been taken and then it turns out to be a trap the whole time."
Another pair of arms wrapped around them, and Harry realized it was Ron. "It's no one's fault," the redhead told the two of them. "We couldn't have done anything to stop him from being killed, we wouldn't have saved him. So stop blaming yourselves, okay?"
Harry nodded his head, pulling away from Hermione to wipe the tears that had escaped his eyes away. He gave Hermione a small smile when she looked up at him, making sure he was actually okay. The brunet gave her another nod, letting her know that he was okay, then turned to look back at Sirius's grave.

May you join the dog constellation and may you rest in peace.
"I'll miss you, Padfoot," Harry whispered, placing his hand on the grave. Then turning to Hermione and Ron, he let the two lead him away.
