Scared was an understatement as Narcissa stepped into Azkaban. It was her first time visiting Azkaban ever since Lucius was captured. Not even when her sister was thrown into Azkaban did she dare visit the place. But it was her husband, her dear Lucius and she could not ignore him while he stayed imprisoned in that damned place.
Walking up the muggy staircase, she let out a heavy sigh wondering what became of their life. They were comfortable and happy, but that horrid monster crept into their lives and ruined everything, took away what little happiness they had left with after the first war. Sleep deprived, she tried to stay alert while inside the prison, making sure to hide away from any stray Dementors.
"Lucius?" she whispered into a dark cell, trying her best not to sound scared.
"Are you alone?" came the reply as Lucius emerged from the dark corners, his cheeks hollowed out, and sunken eyes. He looked terrible, and Narcissa knew he felt worst. Azkaban has taken the life out of him, and even visiting the place, Narcissa's hope faded a little. It felt worse than she had hoped.
"Yes. Are you ready?" Narcissa asked, as she chanted a spell and unlocked the heavily secured prison door. She had practiced this spell and so much more ever since the Dark Lord returned. She knew they might need it someday to protect themselves.
"I knew I could count on you, Cissa." Lucius sauntered out of the cell, preparing to escape his living hell of a place.
"Oy! What do you think you'r…" and before the Auror could complete his sentence, Narcissa had already cast an Avada Kedavra at him, and he was down on the floor, dead within seconds.
"You weren't supposed to see that," she said to the dead Auror before holding Lucius and apparating out of the soul sucking dungeon.
