Drabble partially based on Annie Lennox's 'Into the West'

The words on the glass Light shimmers on the water your soul has past.

Sleep, I can't hold you here I can't keep you now, beside me.

Grey shadows, Memories of the past Where is the flash of all the beauty and the pain

If I could have told you that one last time, But grey ships are passing They must fade to white.

So goodbye now, Let your soul pass Like light through the water The words fade from the glass. The picture has gone, Life is just a word but if I held you one last time,

Would your soul have passed?
