Their eyes locked and it seemed as if all the air from her lungs disappeared. His lips went up for a wicked smile while her eyes traveled down to his mouth.
"See anything you like, dear?"
He licked his lips and started walking towards her. Wide eyed she backed away against the ceiling.
"You look nervous, is it the scars?"
She opened her mouth but no sound came. He was only two steps away from her now and she was already backed up against the wall. Shit shit shit shit shit! She thought, slightly panicking.
The painted man grabbed a knife out of his purple coat and went down on his knees so their eyes could meet. She could feel his hand, which was in a matching purple glove on her face. She couldn't move, breath or escape. He's going to kill me.
"Wanna know how I got 'em?" He licked his lips and nodded his head violently.
"Come here." He hold her head in a firm grip, and just when he brought the knife to her mouth, sirens could be heard.
He turned his head to check if they were coming this way, but they didn't, and it disappeared as soon as they came.
"Now, where were we," he once again licked his lips and scars and she took this moment to kick him hard in the groin.
Bending over to ease the pain he laughed like a maniac. "A little fight in you. I like that." Then, in all of a sudden the police stormed into the big hall and pointed to the purple-coat wearing man.
"GET HIM!" But they were too late. He and his henchmen were already out of the window. Leaving nothing but chaos and a white Joker card.
Everything happened too quickly to follow. One moment she was working at the local bank and the next she was backed up against the wall with a knife to her mouth. She couldn't hold her own weight anymore and sunk the floor.
"Ma'dam? Miss? Are you alright?" She wanted to shout; No, I'm not fucking alright. Do I look like I'm alright? A clue.. NO! But she was too tired to shout. And before she knew it, everything went black.
