"Wow those are cute pants!" Miranda said, pointing to Kate's new pants.
"Yeah, but don't tell her that!" Lizzie muttered, slamming her locker shut.
"Oh look! Parker has the same pants! But they're black instead of pink." Miranda said.
The pants Miranda and Lizzie seen were baggy with three white stripes down the side, on
the pocket was a little Adidas symbol.
"We need to get some of those!" Lizzie clutched her books closer to her.
"Let's ask my parents this time to take us to the mall. Ever since the bra incident…"
Miranda trailed off.
"Yeah." Lizzie sighed.
"I wonder if Gordo is sick. He wasn't on the bus and his mom would have dropped him
off at school by now." Miranda fiddled with her pigtails. They turned down the hall and
headed for their first class of the day, English.
The second they walked into the classroom, the bell rang to tell the teachers who was
tardy. Quickly Lizzie and Miranda found their seats next to each other.
Until lunch all Lizzie could think about were the pants, and going to the mall to buy her
very own pair. Finally getting out of the endless lunch line, Lizzie took her seat next to
Miranda.
"Oh my gosh! I seen four other people wearing those same pants!" Miranda exclaimed.
"We definitely need to get a pair of those pants now!" Lizzie said, stuffing her mouth
with pizza.
