I stared at her while she descended down the stairs wearing that beautiful blue dress. She smiled at me, winking one of her big almond shaped blue eyes. Her long, brown locks were pulled back in a tight ponytail, curled to perfection. She was all I could think about. She smiled at me once more and took my hand as she got to the bottom of the stairwell.

"You look beautiful." I whispered in her ear. She giggled a bit, lacing her fingers with mine. I looked in her eyes. Then I kissed her, not caring about messing up her make-up or who saw me kiss her. I was in love and I could care less who knew it. I was a freak for it, and I knew that. When I pulled away she didn't yell. She didn't push me or tell me it was inappropriate for everyone to see, she just smiled and hugged me loosely. My black tux started to get sweaty. I knew I was nervous, because this was the night we were telling everyone at school. It would no longer be a secret that I, Derek Venturi, was in love with my step-sister, Casey McDonald.

She smiled at me with her small pink lips. And all I could do is smile back like an idiot.

"Derek, what do you think everyone will say?"

"Who cares, baby? It's all about us. I don't care who knows. As long as I have you." I smiled and kissed her gently on her cheek.

"You're right, Der. If I have you, I don't care what everyone else thinks." She smiled and looked back at her Mom and my Dad. "Bye." She said and waved softly, starting to walk out the door. Her silver and blue heels clacked against the floorboards. I waved slightly, walking out with her. I drove to the hotel and got out, opening her door. She smiled and gave a gentle thanks. She took my hand as I helped her out. We walked in, hand in hand and went to the dance floor. She put her arms loosely around my neck as I lay mine on her waist. I could swear I heard clapping, but I was too lost when Casey said those 5 words to me. "I love you, Derek Venturi."
