Prologue

Peace covered Hyrule for two-hundred and fifty years after the hero Link, defeated Zant, Gannondorf and the Twilight Realm. People could walk through the Faron woods without worrying. They could go and meet the gorons and even things as simple as running around the Hylian plains.

However soon after his victory, the hero disappeared, leaving no trace of his departure. The people of the four provinces believed different things, but the main assumption was that; the goddesses didn't think that the people were thankful enough for the hero that they had given them.

Soon, merchants of the castle town had come up with schemes and plots to rid the people of the money. They made green tunics, and told kids that they could grow to be just like the hero and that the goddesses would be pleased with them.

Others made carved tri-forces and told the people that it could be a reminder of the Link, the legendary.

But the most profitable item was the replica master sword which; 'would give soldiers courage in battle.' This particular plot made major income from the nobles of Princess Zelda.

Rupees flowed for this kind of paraphernalia and soon the merchants became unbelievably rich and fled away to live in greed or to purchase towns from not so well off mayors.

These merchants were declared traitors. They were then imprisoned and sent to the guillotine and beheaded for their actions. Sadly, the fortunes of the merchants were not discovered with them, and supposedly they were buried deep in separate parts of Hyrule. The complete treasure was not discovered for more then a century.

Villagers were now poor and had very little money to live with. Many people died of starvation, dehydration or various other illnesses or diseases.

The army of castle town fell rapidly in numbers, and now the Princess was prone to raids, never mind an attack from an unknown evil.

Zelda called for one of her finest soldiers Ross of Ordon, to come to meet with her in the court room. Ross followed orders and ventured there with the; 'Royal Armored Guards' to escort him. He and the Royal Guards were ordered to go into the court chamber. After the large doors were shut and locked, Zelda spoke of how her army needed more men to be able to protect the capital of Hyrule since the markets were, 'terrorized' by the merchants. So she decided to send Ross and his wife Nacia back to their home town of Ordon village to raise new recruits from all over Hyrule. This was to be kept a secret between, the Princess, Ross and his wife and the Royal guard who would accompany him. Not even would the students of Ross would know they were being recruited by Zelda until a few days before leaving for castle town. They agreed on this. The Princess smiled as she nodded appreciatively.

Ross informed his wife and they made their journey to Ordon village which would be their new home. Little did they know, there was a traitor among them.
