One Year Prior: Flashback
"Mal!" My mother beckoned.
"Yes mother?" I said as I stood in her door way.
"Where are you going?" She asked turning towards me.
"I'm going to run the streets and steal candy from babies" I said plainly.
"Be back soon. We have to get you ready for Auradon. Remember what you are going there for" she said.
"Yes mother, I know what we are going for!" I said before turning around. I ran out of the dump we call home to a secret place. A place where we could be alone. A place where our parents weren't around. A place I could meet with him. Where we could be together. Growing up I didn't know what love was. That was until I met him. His smirk that drove all girls crazy and me wild. His piercing ice blue eyes that I could look into forever. He was just pure perfection.
As I ran up the stairs all I could think about was leaving him. I didn't want to leave him. I wanted to bring him with me but I was coming back. We would be able to be together soon.
I got to the top and when I saw him I ran into his arms. He hugged me tight and didn't let go. "What's this for? Don't get me wrong I love it but why?" he asked in his heavy Scottish accent.
"I'm being forced to leave" I answered and he pulled away to look at me.
"What do you mean leave?" he asked.
"Evie, Carlos, Jay and I are being taken to Auradon" I answered once again.
"I'm not letting you go so if you go I'll go with you" he said.
"No! Harry you need to stay here. Stay here for Uma. She's like your sister and I need you to watch over her. I turned her away so she could end up being better than ever" I said grabbing his wrist. "I'm going to come back to you because I love you."
He then grabbed me and pulled me closer than ever and kissed me. We had secretly been together for a very long time. Since we were twelve, well we made it an official thing when we were fourteen.
Flashback Ends
Its been a year since I last told him I loved him. A year since I told him I'd be back. A year since I first met Ben. At first with Ben he was only a piece to taking over the world but when I was with him it was something I hadn't felt in a while. I slowly started to love him but I hated to admit it because I was madly in love with Harry.
Then when I saw him after I went back to the isle he looked at me like he didn't recognize me. I know why he looked at me like that and it was because I was in a relationship with Ben, the king of Auradon. I could never love anyone the way I loved Harry but I also couldn't love anyone the way I loved Ben.
Harry was my first love but Ben, he saw the good in me. "Mal!" I heard Evie say as she snapped her fingers many times. "They're coming today!"
"Who's coming today?" I questioned.
"The VK's from the Isle! The kids Ben picked" she answered pulling me by my wrist. As Ben and I stood in front of the school in the place he and Audrey once did a year ago, many limos pulled up. One by one the limos dropped off 5 to 6 kids from the isle. Then the last limo pulled up the first to get out was Dizzy Tremaine, daughter of Drizella Tremaine, granddaughter of Lady Tremaine and step niece of Cinderella Charming.
The next was very unexpected. Gil, son of Gaston, frenemy of Ben. The next person to exit the vehicle was Ginny Gothel, daughter of Mother Gothel whom also kidnapped princess Rapunzel. Then Claudine Frollo popped out of the vehicle. She is the daughter of Claude Frollo. The next person caught me off it was Uma, daughter of Ursula. She was also the reason Ben almost let all the villains loose.
"What is she doing here?" I whispered to Ben.
"She deserves a chance as much as you did Mal" he answered.
"She put you under a spell and tried to use you" I said.
"Last time I checked so did you" he answered once again and I shut up. Then my heart stopped when the last passenger got out. Harry Hook, brother of Harriet and CJ Hook and son of Captain Hook. Also my ex-boyfriend and first love.
There stood about 15 to 20 kids from the isle in front of us. The entire time Ben and Fairy Godmother talked to them my eyes locked with Harry's. That was until one by one a guard collected any object that was not clothing, when they got to Harry they took his dad's hook. I knew how much it meant to him. Harriet had gotten the Jolly Rodger when their father retired and Harry got his hook. It meant the world to him and I was now determined to get it back. After all he would always be my first love. Their belongings were to be taken to the vault.
"Fairy Godmother I will take the belongings to the vault if you like" I offered.
"Lady Mal, of course that would be wonderful" she said handing me the bucket of personal things. As I walked away I looked back at Harry and smiled then saw Ben looking between me and Harry. When I got out of sight I grabbed Harry's hook and hid it. Just in time to, as I began walking again Ben called out my name.
"Mal! What was that?" he asked.
"What was what?" I asked playing dumb.
"Why did you smile at Harry?" he yelled.
"Ben stop! I'm not doing this with you. Go show the new kids to their rooms" I said walking away. I looked back to see him storm off back to the students. After giving the bucket to the guards in the vault I walked up to my room to see Dizzy and Claudine hanging out with Evie. "C" I said and Claudine turned on her heel.
"Mal!" she yelled as she ran and tackled me. "Long time no see!"
"Yeah, I really missed you froyo" I said as we both got up from the floor.
"Mal I'm going to take C, Dizz, and Uma to their classes, will you go get the boys? Jay and Carlos are at a fencing tournament" she asked
"Yeah, whatever" I answered walking out the door. I had to act like I wasn't heading over there soon anyways. I got to the boys door and I could hear Harry and Gil talking.
"Did you see her, she was close to Ben! I was hers first! Why would she leave me to be with someone like him!" I could hear through the door. I could tell it was Harry from his accent. "I used to think I was too good for her, but then she ended up with Ben so maybe I was too rotten for her."
When I couldn't hear anyone else talking I knocked on the door. Gil ended up answering the door and as I looked in Harry was sitting on the bed directly in front of the door.
"Hello boys" I said with a smile.
"Hey Mal! We were just-" Gil began but Harry jumped up and slapped a hand over Gils mouth.
"Waiting for someone to take us to class" Harry finished with a smirk.
"Lets go then" I said moving out of their way. As Gil walked out I put my hand out stopping Harry. My arm laid against his chest as he looked down at me. "You need to be more careful. Next time think before you bring something you cherish onto a place that thinks you're gonna kill them."
I handed him his hook and he looked surprised.
"I have my ways to get things and do things. Just remember that, now lets get you and Gil down to class. I'll give you five minutes to hide that" I said and when I finished he went back into his room. "Hey Gil."
"What's up Mal?" he said happy.
"What does it feel like to be in Auradon?" I asked.
"Amazing! My dad was so mad. He wanted me to give a message to Ben's mom but I told him no" he laughed. "Ben's dad and Ben kind of scare me."
"Ben is a nice guy. You just have to relax and be yourself Gil" I said and them Harry came back out and we headed to our first class.
"Do you think I'll be able to see my mom while I'm here?" Gil asked and Harry and I just looked at him.
"Who's your mom?" Harry and I asked in unison.
"Alice Kingsleigh" he answered. "My dad had Gaston Jr, Gaston the third and me and mom got to keep Ally. After dad lost to Ben's dad he knew Ben's mom wouldn't be with him so he moved on and met my mom. But when Ben's dad became king and put all villains on the isle the first to go was Gaston and his three sons because sons always end up like their fathers. Their love was then forbidden. My dad was in love with my mom and she was in love with him but we haven't seen each other since I was two."
"I can talk to Ben" I said and his smile popped right back up.
"Thanks Mal!" he said and ran into the classroom all happy. I walked in right behind him and Harry behind me. Harry and Gil both went to sit with Uma. Ginny was sitting by herself when I noticed something familiar. It was the cape she was wearing.
"Is that my mothers cape?" I frowned.
"So what. She doesn't need it anymore. Last I checked you turned her into a lizard!" she laughed.
I could feel the fire start to burn and I knew if I continued there would be a dragon sized hole in the school. As it was getting harder to control it I could hear Ben calling my name.
"Mal! That's enough! What has gotten into you! Mal!" he yelled.
He was getting angry and it was making me lose control even more. Then I heard him.
"Mal, calm down. Its okay to be angry but no matter what you can control this" he said. I could hear his accent and suddenly I took control and calmed down.
"M? Are you okay?" Evie asked putting her hand on my shoulder.
"Something's not right?" I answered. "What are you doing to me!" I screamed looking at Uma.
"Mal she's not doing anything to you!" Ben yelled.
"Yes she is! she cursed me or something!" I scream as I got closer to her. "You pathetic sea urchin! No! I'm so sorry Uma!"
Something was happening to me and I didn't know what it was until I heard her laugh.
"Mother!" I said as I looked toward her direction.
"I'm back nugget!" she laughed and everyone ran towards the front of the class. " You didn't think that would last forever did you? That puny little spell wouldn't contain me forever Pumpkin."
"Mal!" I heard Evie yell and it knocked me out of my daze. "You're hurting me!" That's when I realized I was gripping her arm so tight that my hand was white. Everyone was in the same place they were in when I entered.
"No!" I scream as I ran out of the classroom and I could hear everyone following behind. As I ran to my room it seemed that the halls were longer and the staircases grew. It felt like slow motion as I ran down the corridor but I finally reached the door.
The door to my dorm I busted through only to see my drawer opened. I knew something was wrong and I just found out what.
"What is going on with you Mal!" Ben shouted as he got to the door.
"I'm so sorry! Evie remember the time my mom was brought to Auradon to free people she cursed. How for some reason I started acting different. I was cruel to the extent no one deserved. It was all because my mom was in Auradon, she had magic and I feeding off of her?" I asked and she nodded.
"What does this have to do with anything Mal?" Ben asked.
"I took her power but with her power I took her emotions. Maleficent, mistress of all evil. I took the emotions she hid and it was stronger than anything. While she was in Auradon I did unspeakable things and finally when she got back I was back to normal" I said.
"Get to it" Ginny said irritated.
"It happened again" I answered.
"Yeah, because your mom is here just in lizard form" Jay said.
"I left my mom back on the Isle. We were in a rush trying to get away and I forgot to grab her" I answered with tears on the brim. "It only happened when she was lose in Auradon. You guys my mom is lose and she is more than angry. She is coming for revenge on every single person in Auradon."
"What was she doing here? In our room?" Evie asked.
"Looking for this" I said pulling out the Dragonstone I had tied around my neck. "You remember all of your family stones that would be passed down?" I said and they all nodded. "This is the Dragonstone. It's the stone that created your family stone. This is my stone. She was looking for this."
I know its been a while since ive posted or updated my other stories but I plan on finishing the rest. I am free from school so I now have plenty of time on my hands. I just ask you to be patient because writers block comes in the worst of times. But meanwhile please read this story and tell me your honest opinion. You pointing out my mistakes help me to become a better writer!
