Hermione's peril

Hogwarts is full of excitement as everyone prepares for Christmas. The halls are full of gleeful children planning for the holidays and staff conjuring balls of red and green light and enchanted snowflakes. In the Griffindor common room, thee is no shortness of excitement as preparations are done to prepare for the upcoming holiday. Harry will have his room to himself as Ron, Neville, Seamus, and dean will be visiting their families. Unlike their brother, Fred and George plan to stay and wreak havoc over the break. Hermione also will be staying, although her plans are not as mischievous as they are academic. Other Griffindors such as Parvarti and Lee Jordan are also staying. The excitement mounts as the day of departure arrives. Goodbyes are said and the students reverted to their dormitories and basked in the silence broken only by the occasional winter wind. The wind lasted, but the science did not. Within half an hour of serenity, the Weasly twins came to the rescue of the young Griffindors. A simple freezing charm allowed for the dozens of snowballs to be brought to the common room without melting. Naturally, it wasn't long before what was left of the house was in a brief clean up, and a stern talking to from Mr. Filch, the the common room was back to normal.
