Round Three- Emotion: Love
Word Count (Not Including Title and A/Ns): 404 Words (Yeah, I know it's pathetic)
One of the Things…
Before:
She had fancied
Him
All to herself.
For him
To be
Only for her
And she
To be
Only for him,
That was
One of the things...
She had yearned
For he
To put aside
The difference
Of age
And look at her
Without
The gap of seven years.
For him
To do so,
That was
One of the things...
She would have liked
For him
To see her more
Than as
His friend
And/ or
Little sister.
For him
To think
Of her,
Just once,
As someone else,
That was
One of the things…
Then:
She had craved
To tell him
Of how
He made
The butterflies
In her stomach
Flutter about
And her heart
Skip a beat.
For her
To confess,
That was
One of the things…
She had desired
That he
Would happened
To have
The same feelings
She had
For him.
For those
Emotions
To be requited,
That was
One of the things…
She had coveted
For him
To hold her
Close.
A moment where
He would speak
So sweetly
Only to her
And handle her
With
A tender touch,
That was
One of the things…
Afterward:
She secretly had hoped
He actually
Was not
The traitor
He was.
For
That fact
To be a lie
And
Some wistful thoughts
To be the truth,
That was
One of the things…
She had hankered
He was one
She didn't have to strike.
For him
To be an ally,
A friend,
Fighting
By their side,
That was
One of the things…
She had hoped
He would go back.
Back
Before the war,
Back
Before his betrayal,
Back
To all those years ago,
To be the boy
She first met
In that alley way.
That was
One of the things…
Now:
She longs
For him
To not have died.
For there to be
Another way,
Any way,
She could find
To save him
Somehow
Not only from
His demons,
But also from
Himself,
That is
One of the things…
She regrets
Her answer
To his
Last question.
Despite of
What she said,
He was not
To her
A mere brother.
For him
To hear the truth
Before
His last breath,
That is
One of the things…
But:
She also wishes
For him
To be happy.
In the end,
He came out
As a hero-
Her hero.
He to be
In eternal bliss,
That is
One of the things…
… She just wants.
A/N: How did I get from the idea of Elderly!Lukabeth to this free- verse- poem- thing?
Hopefully, the prompt is shown here. If not, I tried. Did I use too many ellipses?
Anyway, if it's not too much trouble, please review!
