The never-ending sirens from the cruisers as red and blue lights flickering on and off. Blocked the roads front of the covered-ashes modern apartment while the firefighters were putting away their hoses and searching for any possible survivors in the building. There's not a single person who has survived the fire because the help was too late to save them.

Slowly, one by one, firefighters give up along with polices officers. Until one firefighter who was in the room of twenty-four-B. He paused when he saw two burnt corpses huddled over the coffee table. The firefighter tilted his head in confusion, he never seen a body, let alone, two dead bodies covered something in the middle of the fire. Suspicion creep into his mind as he went over to the burnt bodies.

He heard the soft creak floorboard underneath his foot. He frowned in cautioned as he shifted his weight on the floorboard carefully. He noticed it was very loose and has a suspicion that these dead bodies were protected something underneath the coffee table.

A firefighter gently removed the dead bodies away from the area and pushed the coffee table away carefully. He ripped the rug out of the way and saw a small hatch the fit for a small child. Dare he has hope inside of him when he reached the small hook and pulled the lid over.

Gasped heard from the firefighter when he found a small child; curled up in a blanket and a gas mask. The firefighter quickly shouted out to his comrades and called out the ambulance ready for the one and only survivor from the fire.

A firefighter leaned forward and gently touched the child's head. The child lifted its head slowly as eyes fluttered open to reveal the most lightest blue. "It's okay…. We'll get you some help…" the firefighter whispered assured the little kid gently. "You're safe..." He said with a sad smile as he admired this child's parents who protected their offspring from the fire. "Your parents are heroes."

"I don't want them to be heroes… I want them to be my parents and stay alive with me."

Seven Years Later

Forks, Washington

Swan Resident

White eyelashes fluttered opened slowly to reveal her lightest blue eyes and blinked a few times to draw away the blurry from her visuals. A yawn broke out from her mouth as she turned on her back on her cozy and warm bed. Her eyes glanced at the glow red alarm clock; as usual, she wakes up at exactly six o'clock. She sighed softly when she shifted her eyes up to the bare cream ceiling. It's been so long since she had that dream. Her old memory when she was nine years old that a firefighter found her from the secret safe hatch. She wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for her parents smart and rational thinking during that fire accident.

She lifted her hand, placed on her forehead while sat up. She doesn't know why she suddenly dreamt that painful memory when her parents died from the fire. It was a very tragic accident and she was the one and only survivor from it. She shook her head as her white elbow-length hair flowed over her shoulders from the movement. It was painful and sad for her that year, however, she was lucky to have a godfather who wholehearted accept her in his life and adopted her right away. He is a wonderful father figure for her and she really loves him and grateful for his kindness and acceptance of her genetic appearance.

She was very lucky that her godfather happened to live in the rainy and cold weather of Forks because it was perfect for her situation. However, the peers weren't exactly fond of her and always afraid to catch her "illness" as they think it's contagious. It hurts her deeply, but she couldn't do anything about it. At least, her godfather is fond of her and treated her as his daughter.

Then, a knock heard from the door that caught the sixteen years old's attention. A door opened to reveal her godfather; Charlie Swan. Charlie half-smile at her with warm crinkle eyes. "Hey princess, just want to check to see if you're awake." He explained to his goddaughter why he is at her door.

She smiles softly at him, "Exactly at six, as usual, pop." She said gently.

Charlie chuckled as he knew that she always up at the same time every morning without any fail for the past seven years. "Okay, I have work in an hour so, get ready soon. I'll drop you off to school when I'm on my way to work." He said, and he is satisfied that his goddaughter understood and left her to get ready on her own.

The white-hair girl climbed out of her lavender bedding of Queen size bed. She walked to the corner of her bedroom and glanced at her floor-length mirror and observed her reflection. She is very pale, along with white hair, white eyelashes, lightest blue eyes, and a rather small body size. She is five foot two inches; that she got her height from her mother as her godfather told her once a few months ago.

'Sarah Burns.' Her name is foreign yet familiar to her. No one called her Sarah except Charlie, but he rarely does. He started to call her princess a few years ago and it just stuck with it. Not that she minded it, she knew it his way of saying he loves her and cares about her. Sarah tilted her head, 'My name is Sarah Burns, goddaughter of Charlie Swan the Chief Police Officer and I'm albino.' Sarah dryly mused.

Sarah turned around and went to her wardrobe to grab her clothes for the day. After her morning routine was finished, she wears thick cream knit-sweater with long sleeves that reached her finger-tips, the length of the knit-sweater came below her mid-thigh, dark blue jeans that tucked into cream wool socks underneath her knees and into her brown boots, dark grey infinity scarf, dark grey beanie, and black with blue Aztec-patterns backpack.

She double checks her things before she left her bedroom, 'Sunscreen, house-key, textbooks, homework folders, sketchbook, sunglasses, glasses, cell-phone, and pencil case. Good, I got everything I need.'

Charlie and Sarah finished their breakfast; Charlie with his coffee while Sarah ate cereal and they left the house. Charlie drives his cruiser to his goddaughter's school while Sarah watched the scenery through the window in silence.

He glanced at her from the corner of his eyes, he was worried about her and he wanted her to have friends and be a normal teenage girl. Unfortunately, he knew the kids at school avoid her and talk behind her back because of her albino. Honestly, he thought they were being childish and ridiculous. He knew his goddaughter, she is a sweetheart and honest. She is smart, funny, and little goofy when it comes to her favorite books and movies. She is talented with arts and craft. He was disappointed that no one will ever know how sweet Sarah really is and how wonderful friend she'll be. He prayed and hope someday; his goddaughter will have friends who accept her for who she is.

When they arrived at Forks High, he dropped off his goddaughter before she pecked his cheek and waved at him. He watched her walked to the school building while few other students were glanced at her and gossiped behind her back.

Charlie sighed softly, he wishes he could go and defend his little princess, but he can't do anything because the students haven't done anything to her except hurt her self-esteem and emotionally. He glanced at his wrist-watch and drove away from school on his way to work.

Sarah walked into the empty library during lunch time and went to the seat that she has been hiding ever since she transferred to Forks High. She sits in the back of the library behind the bookshelf, she grabbed her beige worn-out sketchbook and flipped a few pages to the unfinished drawing. Sarah picked out her pencil case and took out a number two pencil. She observed her drawing; it's a light sketch of a lion sleeping on top of the cliff with woods in the back. Sarah went to draw the line gently and curve on the paper.

This is how she lives her life every day in school, always goes to the library or art club to draw her sketches and once in a while she crafts out with something for birthday gifts and Christmas gifts for her godfather and his two best friends; Harry Clearwater and Billy Black. Sarah remembered she was introduced to Jacob Black when she was barely ten years old at that time. Charlie had hoped she and Jacob would become best of friends, unfortunately, he was wrong.

Jacob Black was rather awkward around her because of her unusual look and he always neglected her whenever he spends time with Bella Swan during summer vacation. They weren't best friends, but they don't dislike each other, more of civil acquaintance since their fathers are best friends. They hardly saw each other because Jacob has school and friends at his reservation while she, herself has no friends and only have arts, books, and movies as her company. Luckily, she has Charlie so it's a little less lonely for her.

If only there's an exciting adventure for her in this rainy town.

Meanwhile

Cullen Coven

Alice leaned forward on her palm while playing with her foods with a fork to make it look like she has eaten some of it. She wrinkled her nose at the smell from the school foods on her tray. Her golden eyes glanced up in boredom and noticed her siblings are rather in their own world.

Emmett and Rosalie are whispered to each other in low that she can make out few words. Edward is reading minds from students in a canteen with small amused in his eyes. Then Jasper who looked like he's in pain because of the human blood running through their body as he stared at blankly at the food front of him.

The pixie girl lined her lips, she has been Jasper's rock for decades and his best friends that many mistaken them for a couple. Alice thought it was funny and little awkward with it. Don't get her wrong, Jasper is a very handsome man, but he is not her mate. He is meant to be her best friend and he needed a family. Alice knew she has her own mate somewhere and she has to wait for him. She was patient with it because right now, she wants to find her brother's mate and Jasper's mate.

Alice halted with a fork as her golden eyes dazed over. The vision appeared in her mind.

[A teenage girl with long brown hair, brown eyes, and pale skin climbed out of the old Chevy truck. She shut the door and pulled up her backpack over her shoulder. She locked her truck and walked around nervously.

"So, this is Forks?" she asked the figure of a small girl who is very blurry. The blurry girl says something back to the brown-hair girl.

The blurry girl loops her arm into the clear girl's arm and they walked together side-by-side through the parking lots.]

Blinking few times and frowned in confusion. She never had any trouble with people in her visions and this is the first time she has seen a person so blurry. Her golden eyes glanced at Edward who furrowed his eyebrows in puzzled. He had read her mind and seen her vision. Alice shrugged her shoulders at her brother, 'I don't know what that vision means to us but… something tells me they both might be involved with us.'

Edward frowned with disapproved because the girls in Alice's vision are humans. He barely shook his head and glanced at his untouched foods.

Alice mentally sighed and leaned back in the chair, she noticed Jasper is looking at her with concerned and Alice just smiles assured at him. Although she can't help it, those two girls will be involved in Cullen lives and something tells her that it will be a huge change.

Question is, good thing or bad thing?

Charlie was thirty minutes late to picked up his goddaughter, but Sarah doesn't mind one bit because she was used to it and plus, it gives her a chance to finish some homework. When Sarah climbed into the passage seat, shut the door, and buckled her seat.

"How's school?" he asked her as he drives down the road.

Sarah glanced at him, "It's alright. How was work, pop?"

Charlie said it was fine then comfortable silence in the cruiser between them. Then, Charlie clears his throat, "Princess…" Sarah turned her attention to him with curious, "I got a called from Bella and her mother, Renee. Renee and her husband, Phil are moving to Jacksonville and Bella decided to come down here to Forks and live with us." A small excited appeared in his eyes, "You don't mind having Bella come live with us?"

Sarah shook her head, "Of course not, pop. It would be nice to have her with us." She said with a gentle smile. She is happy to see her godfather beamed with excitement. Sarah knew how much he really misses his daughter ever since Bella stopped come to summer vacation a few years ago.

Bella and Sarah tolerate with each other and shared small interests when they were young, however, they don't often talk much because of the awkwardness in the Swan house whenever she comes for vacation.

But now, they are both older and Bella is a year older, but Sarah is mature, and she had hope that maybe this time, she and Bella could be friends?

Sarah couldn't help but nervous yet excited to have Bella come live with them. She is rather looking forward to it.

Although, she has no idea how much her life will change once Bella moved to Forks.
