The Buoy

Dark eyes scour landscape

Under black surf I lie,

Sinking

Sinking

Torch light flaring to the

Soundtrack of melodic screaming,

My identity lost to the wind

Senses failing

Pain numbing

Flashes of sadness

Memories raped of meaning

A stabbing pain and it's all gone now,

And I lie

Waiting

Waiting

To join them in the burning bliss

That is death

Blood red thunder

Breaks the surface of my conscience

And I'm rising

Pain distant

Numbness gone

I gaze into the eyes of my saviour

My crimson angel with

Those cold, hard epitomes of darkness

They pierce my heart before

He licks the wound

And it's all better
